Badminton is a sport that ordinary people love to play. Badminton is not only fun, but also allows people to exercise during the game. So many people like badminton in life. But even if it is an exercise that is good for the body, it should be done in moderation. Otherwise, it may cause sports injuries. Now let’s talk about the reasons for shoulder pain after playing badminton. The shoulder joint is composed of the glenoid cavity of the scapula and the head of the humerus. The articular surfaces vary greatly in size, the joint capsule is weak and loose, and there are about three ligaments and tendons connecting it. The deltoid muscle is wrapped around three sides of the acromion. Shoulder injury refers to strain, sprain, inflammation, etc. of the above-mentioned muscle groups and soft tissues such as ligaments and tendons. Among all the joints in the human body, the shoulder joint is the most flexible. Many sports, such as rowing a sampan and playing ball, require the joint work of several bones in the shoulder and their connected muscles, ligaments, and tendons to be completed. Therefore, if people do not pay attention to protection when doing sports, the shoulder joint can be easily injured. The main intrinsic reason why the shoulder joint is vulnerable to injury during exercise is that its high flexibility comes at the expense of a certain degree of stability. Some exercises that exceed the limit of shoulder joint movement or cause local overload due to improper exercise will cause shoulder joint injury. Sports that are prone to shoulder joint injuries include tennis, badminton, baseball, softball, squash, swimming, mountain climbing, weightlifting, rollerblading, and strength training in the gym, which require the upper limbs to be raised overhead. Prevention: Warm up before exercise Rotator cuff injuries are common among volleyball, gymnastics, and swimming athletes; they are also prone to occur in physical fitness participants if the shoulder is overloaded or the movements are too violent. Common actions that are prone to injury include: throwing or catching objects with excessive force, such as pitching a baseball; using hands to support the ground when falling; rotating the shoulders on the horizontal bar or rings; and sudden back extension when doing a weightlifting snatch. But the common cause is muscle strain, that is, long-term and excessive use of the shoulder joint without proper exercise and stretching of the rotator cuff muscles. Rotator cuff injuries have specific symptoms: recurring or persistent shoulder pain; pain that worsens at night, especially when you can't sleep on your side; decreased muscle strength, especially when trying to raise your arm; and possible limited range of motion. After knowing the reasons for shoulder pain when playing badminton, you must pay special attention when playing badminton. Don't let an exercise that is good for your health cause your healthy body to show symptoms of disease because of our carelessness. Otherwise, the gain will outweigh the loss. When exercising, you must pay attention to the combination of work and rest, which is good for your body. |
