What are the direct causes of sports injuries?

Regular exercise can benefit our physical and mental health, so more and more people are doing exercise now. Then, it is inevitable that some people’s exercise methods are incorrect or the exercise intensity is not suitable for their own tolerance. Therefore, many people suffer sports injuries during exercise. Well, today, I will take you to understand the direct causes of sports injuries and some simple measures we can take when facing sports injuries.

1. Physical fitness does not meet the requirements of sports

Usually when physical fitness is poor, muscle strength and elasticity are poor, reactions are slow, and joint flexibility and stability are also poor, making injuries more likely.

2. Improper arrangement of sports activities

Problems with warm-up: starting exercise without preparation or with insufficient warm-up; warm-up is too far away from exercise; the amount of warm-up is too large or not well integrated with the exercise content; violating the principle of gradual progress during warm-up, etc.

Excessive exercise: Improper exercise arrangement, especially too concentrated exercise, which leads to excessive local exercise, is the main cause of injuries during exercise.

3. The venue, equipment, clothing do not meet the requirements and the weather is bad, etc.

Poor venues and equipment can easily lead to sports injuries. In addition, clothing, shoes and socks that do not meet the requirements, as well as the lack of necessary protective gear, can also cause sports injuries during exercise. Bad climatic conditions, such as high temperatures, can easily cause fatigue or heat stroke, or excessive sweating can lead to metabolic disorders in the body and cause muscle spasms. If the temperature is too low, frostbite or muscle strain may occur easily.

Depending on the actual situation, you can soak a towel with cold water and place it on the injured area, changing it every two minutes, or put ice cubes in a bag and apply it externally for about 20 minutes each time. You can also directly rinse the injured area with tap water or soak it in cold water, or rub the injured area with ice cubes, but the time should be shortened. Or soak a towel in hot water and apply it to the wound.

The above is a brief introduction of the direct causes of sports injuries. After reading this, you can learn to avoid the above situations in the next exercise. This will better reduce the occurrence of sports injuries and allow everyone to enjoy sports better. If you do accidentally suffer a sports injury, you can also use some of the simple measures mentioned above to actively deal with it.
