Running and skipping rope have different focuses on fitness. Running is an aerobic exercise and is the basic exercise of all exercises, while skipping rope focuses on ligament training. You know, jumping rope for 5 minutes continuously is equivalent to running for half an hour. In sports training, aerobic exercise, strength training, speed training and ligament training are the four elements of sports training. Therefore, it is best to run + skip rope. If you can add strength-type exercises such as single or double bars or push-ups, the exercise will be more comprehensive.

However, it is absolutely feasible to use skipping rope instead of running to lose weight. Here I also recommend to friends the simplest way to lose weight by skipping rope. That is, when jumping rope, you don’t need to consider the exercise time, heart rate, and intensity. You only need to ensure a certain number of jumps in one training session. It is generally recommended to jump rope 3,000 to 5,000 times at a time. The more you jump, the better the weight loss effect. If you jump rope at least 3 times a week and stick to it for 6 weeks, you will see amazing changes. If you don’t believe it, just try it.

From the above, we can see that skipping rope and running have different focuses. During the fitness process, you cannot just jump rope or run, because if you only do one kind of exercise for a long time, your body will adapt and you will not be able to achieve the effect of weight loss in the later stages. Therefore, if you want to lose weight, it is recommended that you alternate between skipping rope and running, so that the effect will be better.
