Shaolin Health Preservation Eight Section Brocade Movements

Nowadays, people should all know that they need to maintain their health. It is indeed difficult to choose a method of maintaining health, because there are so many methods of maintaining health now, so many people will choose some faster methods of maintaining health, that is, to take some health-preserving medicines, such as health care products. This is a kind of medicine that most elderly people will take, but such health care products are not all good for their own bodies. If you want to maintain your health, people with poor physical fitness should still do some exercises to achieve this effect.

1. Lift your hands to the sky to regulate the triple energizer: Stand naturally with your feet flat and shoulder-width apart, hold your chest and abdomen in, and relax your waist and spine. Straighten your head and look straight ahead, close your mouth and teeth lightly, calm your mind and regulate your breathing, and let the Qi sink into your Dantian. Slowly raise both hands from the sides of the body to the top of the head, turn the palms upward, and lift up with force, with the heels rising and falling as the hands lift. After lifting several times, turn your hands so that your palms are facing downward, slowly press along the front of your body to your lower abdomen, and return to the original position.

2. Draw the bow to the left and right like shooting an eagle: Stand naturally, step your left foot to the left, squat down into a horse-riding stance, hold your hands loosely on the outside of your hips, then draw an arc from your chest and lift them up to the level of your breasts. Pull the right hand to the right until it is level with the right breast, about two fists away from the breast, as if tightening the bowstring and drawing the bow like a full moon; make the sword gesture with the left hand, extend it to the left, turn the head to the left, and stare into the distance through the left index finger, as if holding a bow and sword in hand, waiting for the opportunity to shoot. After a short pause, raise your body, draw your hands downward in an arc and bring them back to your chest, and at the same time bring your left leg back to a natural standing position. This is the left form, the right form is the opposite. Practice switching left and right a dozen times.

3. To regulate the spleen and stomach, you need to lift one hand: Stand naturally, slowly raise your left hand from the side of your body to your head, turn your palm upward, and lift it to the left and outward with force, while pressing down with your right hand. After lifting and pressing several times, slowly lower your left hand along the front of your body and return it to the side of your body. The movements of raising and pressing the right hand are the same as those of the left hand, but in the opposite direction.

4. To prevent five kinds of fatigue and seven kinds of injuries, look back: stand naturally with your feet shoulder-width apart, let your hands hang naturally, calm your mind and regulate your breathing, and let the Qi sink into your Dantian. Turn your head slightly to the left, look behind you on the left, pause a little, then slowly turn straight, then slowly turn to the right, look behind you on the right, pause a little, then straighten. Do this dozens of times.

5. Shake your head and tail to relieve internal heat: Spread your feet sideways and squat with your knees down to form a "horse riding stance". Lie your upper body straight and slightly forward, look straight ahead, place your hands on your knees, and support your elbows outward. With the waist as the axis and the head and spine straight, swing the torso in an arc to the left front. Bend the left arm, straighten the right arm, support the elbow and arm outward, form a vertical line with the left knee, push the hips to the lower right, and look at the right toe; after a short pause, immediately move in the opposite direction and swing in an arc to the right front. Repeat dozens of times.

Then we can learn the health-preserving method of Shaolin Eight-Section Brocade. This method can not only exercise our physical health very well, but also regulate our sentiments, improve our overall temperament, and will not make us have some irritable emotions again. Moreover, the movements of these exercises are relatively simple, and the effect can be achieved as long as we persist.
