The harder the place is, the more people need to do yoga

Everyone's flexibility is different, and there is no set limit to how much flexibility you must achieve in yoga. As long as you can feel the stretch while breathing naturally, it's fine if you can't do it for the time being.

Regarding stiffness, I remember someone once said: You cannot practice yoga if your body is stiff, which is as ridiculous as not being able to take a bath if your body is dirty. People with stiff bodies need to exercise their muscle elasticity and control ability more urgently. We see many elderly people like this. Some people start to hobble around with a cane in their 60s, while others are still able to walk briskly in their 80s.

The difference is staggering. Today, a couple supports four elderly people. Many elderly people hope to get sick less often, not because they are afraid of suffering, but mainly because they do not want to add burden to their children. They also hope that they can live a high-quality life for a longer time. However, good health cannot be achieved by relying solely on prayer.

Many fat and stiff people envy others for being able to put their feet in front of them to trim their toenails and pick up things without squatting, but they hesitate when they have to do stretching exercises. Many people in their 40s worry that they will shrink as they age, becoming hunched over and unable to stretch themselves out. However, those who need to practice yoga the most are either afraid of being embarrassed by not being as good as others when practicing in public, or they are worried that their basic skills are so poor that they will not achieve any results even if they practice. In fact, my body was very stiff before I learned yoga. Until now, my waist is still not as flexible as that of someone who has learned dance since childhood.

A few words to remember before starting any exercise:

1. Boycotts will always exist.

2. What you want to avoid is usually what you need most.

Inhale and exhale: Breathe in and out, exhale first and then inhale

Stretch your muscles: stretch first, then stretch

Relax your muscles: relax, first relax and then release

Up and down movement: up and down, up first then down

Swing left and right: left and right, first left then right

Front and back stretch: front and back, front and back

Breathing in the pose: exhale downwards and inhale upwards, exhale when twisting left and right, and inhale when returning to center

Follow the principles: proceed slowly, do your best, stop when you are satisfied, persevere, and proceed step by step
