What is water aerobics

When talking about water aerobics, the first thing that comes to mind is swimming in water. However, is this really the case? The answer is no, water aerobics is different from swimming. Water aerobics is the latest form of exercise, which is combined with dance. Let’s take a closer look at what water aerobics is.

Water aerobics is usually performed in water at a depth of 1-1.4 meters. Even if you can't swim, it doesn't matter, there is no need to be afraid. Water aerobics can include walking in the water, jogging in the water, stretching in the water, etc. Exercising on land may be very tiring, but the feeling in the water is very comfortable.

Course Content

Water aerobics is an aerobic exercise performed by fitness enthusiasts following a bodybuilding coach to the accompaniment of soft music.

Water aerobics is generally performed in waist-high or chest-high water. Fitness enthusiasts can choose different positions according to their height. The deeper the water level, the more difficult the movements. Fitness enthusiasts must choose the difficulty of the movements according to their own situation.

A water aerobics class lasts 50 minutes and mainly includes: warm-up, stretching, strength, agility, flexibility and relaxation exercises.

The water aerobics courses include poolside mat exercises, water aerobics, body shaping and water stretching exercises. The constantly changing exercise content in a class makes fitness participants enjoy it and it is easier to stick to it than single training.

Among them, the poolside mat exercises are a combination of land and water training, which mainly exercise the middle section of the body, such as lifting the legs on land, and some waist twisting and arm movements. The resistance of water is used to increase the difficulty of the exercises, which can significantly reduce excess fat in the waist and abdomen and achieve the goal of weight loss.

Fitness enthusiasts follow the coach to run, jump, walk and other exercises in the water to the accompaniment of music, using the water's resistance, buoyancy and heat transfer to perform whole-body oxygen-consuming exercises, effectively decomposing body heat.

Water aerobics is a more standardized form of exercise, which is completely different from swimming. Don't mix these two sports together and think that they are the same. Furthermore, water aerobics can help people lose weight, and the content is varied. At least people will not feel bored, and most people can stick to it in the end.
