Does running make your breasts sag?

This is why all major sports brands have launched "sports bras". A good sports bra will help you achieve good support during exercise and minimize the shaking of your breasts while running.

A pair of D cup breasts weighs approximately 6.8 to 10.4 kilograms. That's enough to pull your torso forward, forcing you to run with a hunched-over posture, reducing the efficiency of your stride and increasing your risk of injury, McGhee says.

If you haven't noticed, the only things keeping your breasts from sagging while running are your bra straps, which bear a lot of the weight. When the shoulder straps are too narrow, the pressure can be so great that it not only causes dents in the shoulders, but can also compress the brachial plexus and cause numbness in the pinky finger.

The less your bra moves while you run, the less friction there is. However, the larger your breasts are, the more difficult it is to prevent movement. If you choose the wrong underwear, it will shake a lot while running and easily rub your delicate skin.

For women who exercise, it is very important to protect their breasts by wearing a suitable sports bra during exercise. There are roughly two types of sports bras currently sold on the market: one is shaped like a vest, using a large piece of cloth on the chest to completely cover the chest, keeping the breasts as close to the chest as possible to suppress the bouncing of the breasts during exercise. The other type has cups that wrap around and hold the breasts in place, and some contain soft steel rings for added support. Expert opinion: Vest-shaped sports bras are more suitable for women with small breasts and bra cups of A and B; women with cups above C are suitable for sports bras with cups.

From the above, we can see that running has a certain impact on women with more developed breasts. If no protective measures are taken for a long time, it will cause sagging breasts. Therefore, women need to wear sports bras with cups for protection to avoid causing harm to the body. For women whose breasts develop more slowly, the impact is still within an acceptable range.
