What are some boxing techniques to strengthen your body?

Although people are busy at work nowadays, they still never stop exercising and always try to make themselves stronger in various ways. Boxing is one of the ways. We must know the boxing techniques to strengthen our body before practicing boxing. Next, let us learn some boxing techniques to strengthen our body. Those who don’t know much about this aspect can learn more about it.

In addition to strengthening the body, practicing boxing can also protect yourself at critical moments. Nowadays, there are many types of boxing in the world, but all boxing styles are inseparable from the practice of basic skills. The basic skills of boxing are nothing more than a few aspects: strength, speed, endurance, accuracy and tenacity. Next, we will focus on how to improve these aspects.

Strength training: Like many sports, strength training is basically achieved with the help of fitness equipment. People who exercise regularly will often go to the gym. Boxing mainly relies on the strength of several parts of the human body's muscles, including the forearms, latissimus dorsi and waist strength, so exercise should be targeted. You can use the following two equipment for special group training. For example, forearm strength can be exercised through a tension machine (left picture), latissimus dorsi can be exercised through upward bench press (equipment in the middle picture), and waist strength is mainly achieved through sit-ups (equipment in the picture). Lift 6 to 8 times in each set, divided into 3 to 5 groups, and increase or decrease the weight or number of times as appropriate.

Speed training: It is best to practice this before the age of 24. It's not that there will be no improvement after that, it's just a little more difficult. The most direct way is to practice fast punches, that is, the more times you punch within the specified time, the faster you are (assuming the punching posture is correct). You need to practice repeatedly, and write down the number of times each time to help improve next time. Another way is to do push-ups quickly. You can try them all.

Endurance training: or it can be called endurance training. It would be unacceptable if you get tired before defeating the enemy. As for the method, I will not go into details here because it is basically the same as other sports, the most common one being endurance running.

Accuracy training: No matter how hard you punch, it’s useless if you can’t hit the target. Hitting a sandbag is an extremely effective method, but it may seem difficult at first because the sandbag moves, so you can choose some static objects to practice hitting. Remember to avoid punching the air when practicing accuracy, because only when you hit a real object each time will you know whether you are hitting the part you want.

Toughness training: It means that the fist must be wear-resistant and resistant, which is often referred to as "external training of muscles, bones and skin". Imagine if you only punch with "soft fists" that have no lethality, then all the training is in vain. Well, without further ado, you need to buy a pair of gloves at the beginning to avoid unnecessary injuries. There are two main methods: hitting hard objects and ground support training. The former is easy to understand, and the latter is to use one or two fists to support the whole body on the ground and maintain it for a period of time.

There is no order of precedence for these exercises, nor is it necessary to practice all of them every time. It is best to decide based on your individual situation and focus on the areas you are lacking in.

We need to keep fit, because only with a strong body can we do more of the things we want to do. Although the boxing techniques for keeping fit are a bit complicated, if we study hard, we will have a chance to learn them. Of course, in the process of practicing boxing, we must pay attention to our own safety and not let our lives be threatened by learning boxing.
