What are the consequences of excessive exercise?

Exercise is indispensable in our life. Only by exercising can our body stay in a good condition. Of course, we will live a happier life. However, some people suffer from the consequences of excessive exercise. So what are the consequences of excessive exercise? First, it will cause us to suffer from some strange diseases, and secondly, it will affect our health. Next, let us understand what are the consequences of excessive exercise?

Physical activity is a double-edged sword. Appropriate exercise methods, amount of exercise, and exercise intensity can promote the growth and development of children. Otherwise, their growth and development will be inhibited. Of course it will affect the growth of height. There are three types of problems that can occur from excessive exercise: (1) Sports diseases: abdominal pain during exercise, syncope, excessive tension, exercise-induced hematuria, exercise-induced proteinuria, etc. (2) Sports injuries: acute lumbar sprain, meniscus injury, ankle injury, etc. (3) Inhibition of growth and development: slower growth in height, slower weight gain, and stagnant or slower development of organ function.

Studies have found that excessive exercise is as harmful to health as insufficient exercise, and excessive exercise is almost as harmful to people as lazily staying at home. Through data analysis, scientists found that as long as the exercise time does not exceed 14 hours per week, the more exercise, the lower the stress and anxiety levels, and the higher the confidence and intelligence levels will be. Exercise is good for both human physical and mental health. However, if it exceeds the upper limit, exercise will be "too much is as bad as too little", which will not only be detrimental to physical health, but may even cause some harm.

During exercise, the body often experiences symptoms such as thirst, hunger, sleepiness, fatigue, cold, heat, bloating, pain, and numbness. If we over-exercise, we will feel nausea, chest tightness, shortness of breath, panic, and extreme fatigue. These are signals the body is sending us. We must not ignore these warning signals during exercise and must take them seriously.

1. Thirst and nausea

It is normal to feel thirsty after exercise. However, if you drink a lot of water but still feel thirsty and urinate frequently, this is an abnormal phenomenon and a precursor to overexercise. You should stop exercising immediately. If the condition does not improve after rest, you should check your pancreatic function.

2. Hunger

After strenuous exercise, you may temporarily lose your appetite, but your appetite will improve after resting. This is normal. It is abnormal if you don't want to eat and have anorexia for a long time. You should check your digestive function. Increased appetite after exercise is a normal physiological phenomenon. However, if the appetite increases dramatically and persists, you should go to the endocrinology department to check the pancreatic secretion function.

3. Dizziness

During fitness activities, you generally won't feel dizzy except when you start practicing certain rotational movements. If persistent or short-term dizziness occurs, it is a signal of poor blood supply to the heart and brain. You should also pay attention to examinations of the cardiovascular system and cervical spine.

4. Headache and palpitations

You should not have headaches during or after any physical activity. When a headache occurs, you should stop activities immediately and focus on examining the nervous, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular systems.

5. Mental fatigue

This is a sign of kidney deficiency, and it may also be liver damage. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the liver is the "root of fatigue", so patients with liver disease should reduce their exercise. If they still feel tired after reducing their activity, they should check their liver and circulatory system.

6. Weakness in limbs

It is normal to feel weak after fitness activities. Generally, you will recover after resting for about 15 minutes after the activity. If the condition fails to recover after several days, it indicates that the spleen is damaged, because the spleen controls the muscles of the limbs. If accompanied by bloating and loss of appetite, you should reduce your exercise.

There are many consequences of excessive exercise, so we must pay attention to some issues no matter what kind of exercise we do. Of course, there are still some people who do not want to exercise, and the consequences are even more serious. No matter how busy our lives are, we should take some time to exercise. Only in this way can our lives become healthier.
