What kind of food is better to bring when hiking?

We all know that spring and autumn are two seasons with clear skies and moderate temperatures, neither too cold nor too hot. Therefore, many people choose to travel in these two seasons. Many people like to hike during spring outings, but the hiking process is indeed tiring and requires a long period of energy replenishment. So what kind of food is better to bring when hiking?

What you bring with you when hiking outdoors is crucial. Food items you need to bring include:

1. For kettles, don’t use mineral water bottles. The plastic material of those bottles is unhealthy and polluting. As for water sources, the water from many rivers in the deep mountains can be drunk directly, because the deep mountains are far away from human habitation and there is no industrial pollution. As long as the water is clear, it can be drunk.

2. Dry food. You can go to the supermarket to buy compressed biscuits. Military ones are best. Don't bring too much food because you are going mountain climbing, not camping. Do not pick and eat mushrooms, wild vegetables and fruits casually to avoid food poisoning.

You should also pay attention to the following points, although it is not food.

1. Necessary medicines include three kinds of oral medicines for colds, coughs and diarrhea. You can buy them according to your usual habits. Next are trauma medicines, Band-Aids and adhesive bandages, as well as alcohol for disinfection (alcohol cotton pads or alcohol cotton balls, which are easy to carry). There is also safflower oil, which can treat bruises and insect bites. In addition to safflower oil, cooling oil will also work, but cooling oil cannot treat bruises.

2. Salt. Not only can you eat it, but you can also replenish salt. For example, if you sweat too much, drinking some salt water can help replenish electrolytes. Salt can also be used to clean wounds, clean teeth, and repel leeches (remember, leeches cannot be pulled off by hand when they are sucking blood).

3. Vitamin tablets. Because you are in the wild and your carrying capacity is limited, the food you carry is high in protein, fat, and calories, and is relatively lacking in vitamins. Fresh fruits and vegetables rich in vitamins are not easy to carry, so you can prepare a bottle of multivitamin tablets. Long-term vitamin deficiency can cause mouth ulcers, inflammation, and red and yellow urine.
