How to practice yoga for beginners

Yoga is a good fitness program and is also excellent for physical health. It can make the body more toned and help patients lose weight. It has many benefits. However, many problems will be encountered when first getting in touch with yoga. Beginners should pay attention to its key points and control the time of each exercise. Warm-up training should also be done first. So how should beginners practice yoga? Patients should pay attention to multi-faceted regulation and control at this time, so we can analyze the detailed precautions and key points to achieve the expected goals.

Tip 1: Don’t do aerobics to warm up

Many girls know that they need to do some warm-up exercises before practicing yoga, but they must not do aerobics. Yoga is a gradual, gentle and soothing exercise that does not require high-intensity warm-up. After aerobics, our bodies are still in an excited state and it is difficult to calm down for a while. Our minds are in a mess and of course we cannot enter the meditative state of yoga. Besides, sisters are used to the excitement of aerobics, so when practicing yoga, they will habitually do it quickly and vigorously, which can easily strain muscles. Therefore, sisters must remember that they must not use aerobics to warm up. When warming up, you might want to try the sun salutation warm-up exercise I introduced earlier.

Tip 2: Keep your breath flowing through your entire body

Many yoga practitioners do not pay attention to the breathing rhythm when practicing yoga. Just like you cannot get started learning English without being familiar with the phonetic symbols, if you learn yoga without learning yoga breathing, no matter how good your postures are, they will just be useless. Moreover, practicing only asanas without paying attention to breathing will harm your internal organs. Only by practicing breathing and asanas together can you bring the magical power of yoga's combination of movement and stillness into play. Moreover, if you only practice asanas without paying attention to breathing, it will hurt your internal organs. Only breathing and asanas should be practiced together. Therefore, the entire process of practicing yoga should be accompanied by balanced and natural breathing, and it is best to use the abdominal breathing method I introduced earlier.

Tip 3: Don’t pursue perfection too much

When I first started practicing yoga, I would always subconsciously pursue perfection in my movements. If I couldn't do a pose well that others could do, I would feel frustrated. I couldn't help but secretly compete with myself and had to practice well.

Many yoga movements require long-term practice to achieve perfection. Body flexibility is the result of long-term accumulation. If you force your ligaments, it will easily cause sprains or joint pain.

As long as the basic movements are completed in a very coordinated and comfortable state, the same effect as standard movements can be achieved. Remember, if you feel uncomfortable while doing an exercise, stop and make adjustments immediately.

Tip 4: Practice yoga on an empty stomach

There are many yoga poses that require twisting the body. If there is food in the stomach, it will be very difficult to practice. There is no such feeling as "your body is very light, as light as a feather" as the coach often says, but rather "my body is very heavy, as heavy as a stupid bear".

Moreover, when there is food in the stomach, energy cannot flow in a balanced manner to every part of the body. Most of the energy will flow to the digestive system. The effect of the exercise will naturally be greatly weakened. If you are not careful, it may cause stomach discomfort.

Therefore, it is best not to eat 2 to 3 hours before practicing yoga and keep your stomach empty. If you have eaten a big, delicious meal, wait at least 3 to 4 hours before practicing.

How should beginners practice yoga? After paying attention to the key points explained in the article, you can practice yoga well. In yoga exercises, you should pay attention to the accuracy of the movements and the continuity of the movements. Beginners doing yoga should first master the relevant matters and then become familiar with the related movements. Pay attention to your breathing during each set of movements. This exercise has many benefits. When practicing yoga, you should also avoid abnormal movements to prevent problems with your body's joints.
