Why is counterclockwise running good?

Running has become a sport that we are so familiar with that no matter what grade we are in, there will be a physical fitness test including running. And in the annual sports meeting at school, running is divided into many different forms for everyone to compete. I wonder if anyone has noticed that running is generally done in a counterclockwise direction. Why is counterclockwise running so effective? Let’s take a look at it together!

There are several reasons why people think it exists:

It has something to do with the deflection of the earth's rotation, because we are in the northern hemisphere. Clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere and counterclockwise in the Northern Hemisphere. The IAAF's regulations are counterclockwise because most competitions are held in the Northern Hemisphere. If the human body does not conform to the deflection of the earth's rotation, it will be easily injured by the uneven centrifugal force and the deflection of the earth's rotation.

Because the heart is on the left, the left side of the human body is heavier than the right side. Therefore, it is easier to turn left than right while running. Therefore, regardless of whether you are in the northern or southern hemisphere, you should run counterclockwise.

3. The first formal competition was held in a counter-clockwise direction, which became a custom and has been passed down. It has become an unchanging routine.

4. The human heart is located on the left side of the body, so the center of gravity tends to be biased to the left.

5. When people jump or do other actions, the starting foot is usually the left foot. Because the center of gravity is biased towards the left foot, it is easier to turn left. Some foreign experts explained: The left and right feet of human beings have their own functions. The left foot plays a supporting role (supporting the center of gravity) and the right foot plays a moving role (controlling direction and speed). Because the center of gravity is on the left foot, use the right foot to push the ground to increase speed.

7. It is convenient for the audience to watch from left to right;

8. Running counterclockwise is faster than running clockwise, and your body feels more comfortable.

I believe that many friends have read the above content and found that there are many considerations and bases for running counterclockwise. The question of why to run counterclockwise is no longer a question for everyone. I hope everyone will pay more attention to their health and exercise more after work.
