1. It helps to maintain the flexibility of bones and joints, avoid the occurrence of rigidity, enhance the strength of ligaments and muscles, and prevent degenerative changes. According to a comparative survey conducted by the research center, 26 people with basically the same age (56 years old) and physical condition were selected. After 8 years of tracking, none of the first 26 people who consistently climbed stairs developed leg joint disease, their muscles were very strong, and they walked with great power. Then, 26 people did not participate in this sport or other sports. Among them, 12 felt cold legs, numbness, and difficulty walking, and 14 suffered from arthritis and joint stiffness.

2. It is beneficial to enhance heart and lung function, promote blood circulation, maintain the health of the cardiovascular system, and prevent the occurrence of hypertension. The research center also conducted a survey of a group of elderly people, and the results showed that after tracking the physical condition of 20 people over the age of 65 for 6 years, 10 of them systematically persisted in stair climbing exercises, and none of them developed cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and no one suffered from hypertension. Among the other 10 elderly people who did not persist in climbing stairs, 100% suffered from cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.

3. It consumes a lot of calories and plays a good role in preventing the formation of obesity. It is calculated that climbing stairs consumes 2 times more calories than playing badminton, 4 times more than playing table tennis, and 3 times more than walking in the same amount of time, which is basically the same as the calories consumed by climbing a mountain. A follow-up survey of middle-aged women conducted by the research center showed that among 116 middle-aged women (36 years old) of the same weight, 58 of them persisted in stair climbing exercises for 10 years and none of them became obese; the other 58 middle-aged women did not do stair climbing exercises, and as a result, 26 of them became obese in the second year, and 14 more became obese in the third year. By the sixth year, 90% of the 58 middle-aged women had become obese.
