Lu Yi analyzed that beginners who have little exercise and poor physical fitness are most likely to get injured. But the reason for their injuries is often due to improper teaching methods of the teachers rather than the students themselves. "Beginners' muscles and bones are relatively stiff. If they rush to do difficult stretching, twisting and other movements without fully warming up, the teacher will not consider the flexibility of the students' bodies when correcting their movements. "In fact, for every practitioner, as long as they do the movements to their maximum limit, whether their limbs can be bent to 30 degrees or 90 degrees, the results are the same, and they all achieve the effect of relaxing the body and mind and regulating the breathing, circulation and other systems." Lu Yi said that if beginners only experience muscle soreness and are not injured, it is just muscle fatigue that can be relieved on its own; if a certain part of the body is very painful, with a tingling sensation, swelling of the soft tissue, local numbness and other symptoms, it means that they are clearly injured. At this time, you should stop practicing and seek medical attention as soon as possible.

She reminded women who are preparing to practice yoga that they must tell their teachers about their medical history before practicing and should inform them of any physical discomfort. Otherwise, the teacher will not understand the students' physical condition and may cause injuries due to potential diseases being ignored during practice. When practicing by yourself, you must follow the principle of gradual progress and do not stretch or twist your body forcefully.
