Muscular atrophy refers to the reduction in muscle volume caused by nutritional disorders of skeletal muscles, thinning or even disappearance of muscle fibers. The main causes are: neurogenic muscular atrophy, myogenic muscular atrophy, disuse muscular atrophy and muscular atrophy due to other reasons.

Muscles will atrophy if they are not exercised for a long time, and the size of individual muscle cells will decrease. Muscle degeneration leads to a decrease in muscle mass. For example, muscle mass, muscle strength, muscle endurance, etc. decrease or decline. Because each person's exercise level and muscle development are different, the corresponding muscle degeneration rate is also different. For those with high training levels, muscle degeneration is relatively slow, and vice versa.
