I insisted on doing Eight Section Brocade twice a day, morning and evening. At first, I did it despite the pain. Until three days ago, I made up my mind to take long-term medication to relieve the pain. However, when I got up the next day and did it again, I found that it didn't hurt so much and it was much easier to do. After a day of walking, I felt better than before. So I stopped taking medicine and continued to do Eight Section Brocade every day. I didn't go to bed late at night. Now I am fine during the day and can still hold my daughter, but I can only hold her for a while. It may be the effect of Ba Duan Jin. I don't plan to take any medicine now. The main symptom is that it is inconvenient to turn over in sleep at night. Other pains are still within the tolerable range. Coughing and sneezing are not very comfortable, but there is pain.

The modern Ba Duan Jin has changed in both content and name. This exercise is divided into eight sections, each with one movement, hence the name "Ba Duan Jin". It does not require any equipment or venue to practice, is simple and easy to learn, saves time, and has extremely significant effects. It is suitable for men, women, young and old, and can make thin people strong and fat people lose weight.

Practice this movement with your palms raised up and down four to eight times. Another way of practicing it is that each time you lift up, both arms should be slowly raised to the sides of the body, and the heels should be lifted at the same time. The eyes should be looking straight ahead, and the head should be raised as far as possible, but do not be nervous. Then separate your hands, press your palms down in front of your body, and let your feet follow suit. The Qi will slowly sink into your Dantian as your hands press down. Repeat this process 4 to 8 times. From the perspective of movements, this posture mainly involves stretching of the limbs and trunk, but in fact it is a simultaneous whole-body movement of the limbs, trunk and internal organs. There is no consensus on the location of the triple burner, but most people believe that the upper burner is the chest cavity responsible for intake, the middle burner is the abdominal cavity responsible for transformation, and the lower burner is the pelvic cavity responsible for excretion. That is, the upper Jiao is responsible for breathing, the middle Jiao is responsible for digestion, and the lower Jiao is responsible for excretion. It encompasses all of the human body's internal organs.

Stand with your feet parallel and shoulder-width apart. Slowly raise both arms from the left and right sides of the body above the head, cross your fingers, turn your palms over and push upwards as hard as you can, so that the arms are fully stretched. Don't be tense, just like stretching. At the same time, slowly raise your head and look up, with an attitude of holding up the sky and the earth, and breathe in slowly at this time.

Ba Duan Jin is an independent and complete set of fitness exercises. It has a long history, is widely spread, and is deeply loved by the people. It is said to have been spread by Yue Fei and Liang Shichang. It has been recorded as early as the Northern Song Dynasty and has a history of more than 800 years. One day you will suddenly realize that the symptom seems to have been gone for a long time and has completely disappeared. It does seem to be effective, but it comes and goes. We'll see. I'll keep practicing it because I feel it's a very good stretching exercise.
