What to do if you can't run fast

Running is one of the most basic sports, and it has many benefits. However, when running, we may not be able to run fast due to various reasons. This is not only related to personal physical fitness, but also to whether we have the correct running posture and the clothes we wear. Running is also a sport restricted by many factors. What should we do if we can't run fast? Let’s take a look at it below.

Correct running posture: Running seems simple. Some people run easily and slowly, while some people run clumsily and laboriously. The main reason for this is because of different running postures.

Start running in a relaxed posture, with your chin slightly retracted and your eyes looking straight ahead and down about 10 meters. Keep your whole body upright and slightly leaning forward to create forward thrust. Use the correct arm swing range. When running, when swinging your arms upward (forward), the arm should reach the chest line (nipple), and when swinging your arms downward (backward), the arm should reach near the waist. This is a more appropriate arm swing range. Push off the ground to propel your body forward, land on your heel and the middle of your foot, and roll the sole of your foot. The sound when your foot lands should not be too loud, but should be light and elastic. Try to practice running quietly with soft steps. Mastering these tips will make running easier.

Correct breathing: The breathing rhythm should be closely coordinated with the pace, such as inhale after three steps and exhale after three steps, or exhale after two steps and inhale after two steps. Use abdominal breathing, coordinate the mouth and nose, contract the abdomen when exhaling, inflate the abdomen when inhaling, and keep the breathing even and consistent. This way you will feel light when running.

Relaxing equipment: A pair of light, comfortable running shoes with soft, elastic soles and good heat dissipation performance will make running easier. Choose a sweatshirt made of quick-drying polyester or special polyester that is lightweight, breathable, non-sticky, dry and does not rub against the skin.

Through the above, we know what to do if we can't run fast. The above four items are what we must consider when running normally. After doing the above items, we will find that we are running in a relaxed mood and posture, so that the effect and speed of our running will be clear, but it also requires long-term training.
