How to warm up before yoga?

1. Head warm-up

Lower your head, feel your neck muscles stretch, and bring your chin as close to your chest as possible. Start with the right side and turn your head clockwise in a circle, returning to the head-down position. Raise your head and adjust your breathing. Tilt your head back and feel the muscles in your jaw stretch. Turn your head counterclockwise in a circle starting from the left side. Return your head to the center and adjust your breathing.

2. Neck warm-up

Put your hands on your hips, straighten your back, and keep your legs together. Gently bend your head forward, tilt it back, or turn it to the left or right. Then rotate 4 times from front → left → back → right, and then rotate 4 times from front → right → back → left (relax your shoulders and neck naturally while rotating).

3. Shoulder warm-up

Stand up straight, legs together, let your right hand hang naturally, and place your left hand lightly on your left shoulder. Turn 4 circles from front to back, and then turn 4 circles from back to front. Let your left hand hang naturally, and place your right hand lightly on your right shoulder. Turn 4 circles from front to back, and then turn 4 circles from back to front.

4. Chest and back warm-up

Put your hands on your hips, keep your legs together, pull your head, neck and shoulders forward, and arch your back. Then expand your chest and lean back, relax your neck, and move your elbows back as far as possible to expand your chest. Repeat this exercise of contracting forward and expanding backward 4 times.

How to warm up before yoga? You can do some warm-up exercises before practicing yoga to prevent yourself from spraining your body while practicing yoga. Practicing yoga needs to be done step by step. Don’t be impatient and don’t think about learning some difficult yoga moves as quickly as possible. Only by practicing more will you deeply fall in love with this better sport.
