Gastrointestinal diseases are problems encountered by many people around us, which will have some adverse effects on the patient's daily diet, life and work. Some patients have a certain degree of gastroptosis, which makes them feel very uncomfortable often. So, can people with gastroptosis run? This is a question that many patients are concerned about. Let’s take a look at the answer to this question below. Gastroptosis refers to the downward position of the stomach. People with this physique are generally thin, with weak physical and muscle strength, easy fatigue, lack of energy, a habit of overeating, or lack of sleep, or have suffered from mental stimulation. The common symptoms are loss of appetite, nausea, indigestion, heartburn, etc. If you pay attention to your diet, the symptoms will improve. 1. Eat small, frequent meals Since people with gastroptosis have weakened gastric function, they should eat less each time and increase the frequency of meals appropriately. It is best to eat on time to ensure adequate nutrition and energy supply to the body. The types of meals should include less staple food and more vegetables. Milk, half-boiled eggs, and dry cheese are substances that can easily form blood and meat, and should be given priority. Eat slowly and chew food thoroughly to facilitate digestion and absorption. Rest for 30 to 60 minutes after meal. 2. Eat more easily digestible proteins The gastrointestinal function is weak and needs to recover slowly. Easily digestible protein is indispensable, such as tender chicken, fish, pork tenderloin, half-boiled eggs, milk, yogurt, cheese, tofu, soy milk, etc. It should be noted that fish should not be overcooked. In fact, it is easiest to digest and puts less burden on the stomach when it is half-cooked. 1. Push-up exercise: Lie on your back with your head under a pillow, bend your legs, keep your heels as close to your buttocks as possible, and straighten your hips as much as possible to form a half-bridge shape. Maintain this position for a certain period of time, then return to the original position to rest, and then do it again. The total time should be 3-5 minutes. 2. Leg raising exercise: Lie on your back with your legs together and raise your legs straight. Hang them 20-30 cm above the bed and keep them still. Hold your legs for about 10 seconds, then return to the original position and do it a second time. 3. Leg swinging exercise: Lie on your back with your legs together and raise your legs straight. Stop at a height of 20-30 cm from the bed, then slowly swing them back and forth to both sides. 4. Back exercise: Lie prone, bend your body backward, and repeat several times. 5. Abdominal exercise: Lie on your back, raise your arms in front of you, and tighten your abdomen. Lift your upper body as far as possible while straightening your legs and raising them as high as possible, then return to the original position after 10 seconds. 6. Sit-ups: Lie on your back, keep your lower limbs still, tighten your abdomen, sit up, and then return to a supine position after your upper body is in a sitting position. Can I run if I have gastroptosis? If you have gastroptosis, you can do some appropriate exercise, but try to base it on the patient's actual condition. Even when running, don't do it too intensely. You can jog for a while. If you feel unwell while running, you need to stop immediately and don't force yourself to continue exercising. |
