There are many rafting attractions now, and many accidents have occurred. So what precautions should you take when choosing rafting? What items should you bring? 1. Before going rafting, you should try to choose simple and easy-to-dry clothes, but they should not be too thin or too light in color, otherwise you will be embarrassed if you fall into the water. In addition, you should bring a set of clean clothes to change when getting off the boat, and a pair of plastic slippers to wear on the boat. If you participate in rafting in low temperature, you can bring your own raincoat or buy a raincoat at the rafting departure point. Friends who wear glasses, please find a rubber band to tie their glasses. 2. Do not bring cash and valuables on board when rafting. If the boat capsizes or other unexpected events occur, the rafting company and the insurance company will not compensate tourists for the lost cash and valuables. If you feel that you must bring a camera, it is best to bring a low-value point-and-shoot camera, wrap it in a plastic bag in advance, open it when on a flat beach, wrap it up when passing a dangerous beach, and be prepared to throw it into the water; 3. The first thing to do when getting on the boat is to read the rafting instructions carefully, follow the boatman's arrangements, wear a life jacket, and find the safety rope; when the rafting boat passes through dangerous rapids, you must obey the boatman's instructions and cannot move around at will. You should hold the safety rope tightly, tighten your feet, and lean your body to the middle of the hull; if the boat capsizes, you don't have to panic at all, you must stay calm, because you are wearing a life jacket; you are not allowed to get off the boat to swim casually. Even if you swim, you should swim in the quiet water according to the boatman's advice, and you are not allowed to move independently away from the hull. 4. The drifting boat is made of polymer material and has three independent air chambers. There will be no leakage problem under normal use. Since the stream is not deep, even if there is a problem, you can go ashore in time, blow the whistle for help on the life jacket, find rescuers and change the drifting boat. 5. Cross the dangerous rapids safely. During the rafting process, please pay attention to the arrows and signs along the way. They can help you find the main waterway and alert you to the falling water area in advance. Before reaching the dangerous shoal, you can first predict the general direction of downstream; then ask everyone to put away the oars, bring their feet back into the boat and close together, hold the guardrail on the edge of the boat with both hands, lower the body, and do not stand up. Keep the center of gravity of the boat stable, and you can usually get through safely. 6. Break out of the whirlpool. When the water flow in a river is deep, whirlpools often appear. At this time, you should try to avoid being drawn into them and go around them. If you are caught in the whirlpool, stay calm and let the boat rotate along with the eddy current. When you reach the outside of the whirlpool, everyone can paddle with all their strength to get out of the predicament. 7. Avoid collision. Maintaining stability and avoiding collisions are the principles that must be adhered to during rafting. When it is really unavoidable, the boat should be controlled at the angle of head-on collision (side collision can easily lead to capsizing) and everyone should hold on to the ropes. After the collision, the boat will be parallel to the shore. At this time, the passengers on this side should pay attention to retract their feet to avoid being pinched. Sometimes the boats are very close to each other, and to avoid collision both sides have to cooperate by paddling in opposite directions or pushing the boats apart. 9. Fall into water. If you accidentally fall into the water, do not panic. The buoyancy of the life jacket is enough to keep you afloat, and your companions on the boat should stretch out their paddles for the person to grab onto. If the person who falls into the water is far away from the rubber boat, he should find a way to go ashore or stay on the back water side of the stone (the water current on the front water side is strong and it is easy to be hit by the rubber boat) and wait for rescue. 1O. Capsize. Capsizing often occurs in areas with fast-flowing water, often because someone falls into the water, causing the rubber boat's center of gravity to become unstable. After a capsize, you should remain calm and right the boat first; when re-boarding the boat, pay attention to the balanced force on both sides, and when someone on one side climbs onto the boat, someone on the other side should hold them down. The dropped paddle must be picked up in time, otherwise you can only paddle with your hands when you reach the slow-flowing area. A ruptured air chamber is the worst possible scenario. Adjust the positions of the people on the boat so that no one can sit in the ruptured air chamber; try to keep the rubber boat stable and go to the shore to wait for rescue. |
