Why do I have heel pain after exercise?

In daily life, our movements involve many joints and muscles of the body. The joints are mainly used to support the body, while the muscles store strength for us. At the same time, if our exercise method is inappropriate or the timing is not suitable for exercise, symptoms such as strain will occur during this process. There are many causes of heel pain, the main clinical causes of which are: (1) Achilles tendinitis; (2) calcaneal spurs; (3) calcaneal periostitis; (4) subcalcaneal fat pad injury; (5) calcaneal fracture; (6) calcaneal subcutaneous bursitis; (7) tarsal sinus soft tissue strain; (8) calcaneal tuberculosis, tumors, etc.

The maintenance methods for heel pain are: 1. Rest; 2. Choose shoes with thick soles, firm soles, and soft insoles. It is best if the heel has a certain curvature to adapt to the curvature of the heel; 3. Apply soft pads to the heel, such as heel pain pads made of silicone, to protect the heel and reduce friction; 5. Functional exercises.

Treatment: 1. Physical therapy; 2. Oral nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory analgesic drugs; 3. Local blockade; 4. Corrective insoles to relieve plantar fascia tension, reduce irritation, and relieve pain

Shoes are one of the main causes of heel pain. The bones, muscles and ligaments of the feet bear the entire body weight of a person, which requires the shoes to fully support the arch of the foot, so that the force on the sole of the foot is evenly distributed and the ligaments are properly relaxed. However, some manufacturers cut corners on the internal structure of the shoes in order to reduce costs, resulting in the structure inside the shoe being unable to effectively support the arch of the foot and concentrating force on a certain part of the sole of the foot. This increases the pressure on the ligaments and makes the ligaments more susceptible to inflammation.

Therefore, to protect your heels, you must first choose shoes of qualified quality, especially sports shoes; at the same time, be careful not to let your feet over-fatigue.

Having said so much, I believe everyone should understand something. Heel pain may not seem to be a serious illness, but it is indeed a safety hazard that deserves our attention. Heel pain means that our Achilles tendon is injured. In this case, we must take good care of it and reduce exercise until it recovers, otherwise it may cause bigger problems.
