How to deal with sports injuries?

When we usually do various sports activities, it is inevitable that some accidents may cause body parts to be sprained or other injuries. At this time, we need to take effective and reasonable methods to help deal with it in time, otherwise the injury may become more serious. So what should we do when we encounter such a situation? Next, the editor will give a detailed answer to this question.

1. Acute injury. Acute injuries require alternating hot and cold applications to the affected area for 3-5 days. When applying cold compresses, apply them according to the area and depth of the injury. The duration of cold compresses generally does not exceed 20 minutes. Reapply cold compress every 2 to 3 hours. During the first 3 to 5 days of an acute injury, once bleeding is controlled and no further inflammation occurs, you can alternate between cold and hot compresses. Apply cold compress for 10 minutes, then heat compress for 10 minutes.

2. Chronic injuries. Heat is usually applied for 15 to 20 minutes using a hot bottle, hot towel, hot massage, or commercially available heat packs. When using hot bottles, etc., you need to wrap them with towels or clothes to prevent heat burns. Applying heat after a chronic injury can help relieve muscle tension, reduce pain, increase ligament and tendon elasticity, and increase local blood supply. Applying heat to chronic injuries before exercise can help warm up and increase tissue mobility and flexibility.

3. If you sprain your ankle, the first thing you need to do is rest. The calves should be elevated with pillows. You can mix Qilin Powder with tea or wine and apply it to the injured area, followed by a bandage. A sprained waist also requires rest. Apply cold compress locally and try to adopt a comfortable position, either lying on your side or lying on your back with your knees bent, with a blanket or something similar placed under your knees. After the pain is relieved, it is best to find a doctor to come to your home for treatment.

In the above article, the editor describes the treatment methods for different sports injuries, so that when an emergency occurs, everyone will not appear to be too at a loss, but can follow these methods to treat the wound so that it can be effectively recovered in a shorter time and avoid excessive injuries.
