What preparations should be made when practicing Qigong fitness exercises?

Qigong fitness exercises are a familiar way of exercising in life. Under normal circumstances, Qigong exercises are performed, and Tai Chi can also be applied to them. This way of exercising Qigong will be more reasonable. When practicing Qigong, we need to pay attention to many things, mainly preparation, which can make the practice more accurate and avoid accidents. Preparation can make the subsequent practice better. So what are the preparations when practicing Qigong?

Preparation

Stand with your legs apart and relax your whole body.

Requirements: Close your eyes lightly or look straight ahead, put your tongue against the upper palate, and close your upper and lower teeth. Put your hands together at Dantian, with the left hand inside for both men and women.

Silently recite the formula for practicing the exercise: When the night is quiet and everyone is asleep, throw away all your worries, focus your mind on Dantian and seal the seven orifices. Breathing slowly builds the magpie bridge, and the body is as light as a swallow floating in the sky.

After reciting the formula silently, naturally let your arms hang down on both sides of your body, relax your whole body, and then look straight ahead.

Many practitioners pay great attention to imitating and mastering the movements of the exercises, but often pay little attention to the preparatory posture. This can easily lead to a lax and distracted performance of the entire set of exercises, thus losing the original style of Health Qigong.

The so-called preparatory posture is the physical and mental adjustment for practitioners to formally enter the practicing state. Only when you have achieved a state of physical and mental adjustment through the preparatory posture and maintained this state throughout the entire practice process, can you be said to have achieved the purpose of the preparatory posture exercise.

Corresponding to the mind, qi and form of Health Qigong, the preparatory posture should be done in three aspects:

The first is to adjust the body to a state of central alignment through the preparatory posture. The preparatory postures of "bend knees slightly, stand relaxed and still", "keep head straight, neck upright, chin slightly tucked in", "chest tucked in, back straightened, waist relaxed, hips gathered", etc. are all requirements for body appearance, but in essence they are to make the Baihui point and the Huiyin point in a straight line, which is the key to keeping the whole body upright.

The second is to adjust the breathing to a deep, even state through the preparatory posture. As the saying goes, "If the posture is not correct, the Qi will not flow smoothly." The correction of the posture in the preparatory posture is also a regulation of breathing to a certain extent. In addition, the emphasis on natural breathing makes it easier to regulate breathing.

The third is to adjust the scattered mind to a focused state through preparatory posture. It is extremely important to emphasize "looking inward" in the preparatory posture. "The eyes are the vanguard of the heart" and "the mechanism lies in the eyes". One can calm the mind and spirit through the content of the eyes. If, when doing the preparatory movements, the practitioner is still looking around or keeping his eyes wide open, his "mind is restless and his thoughts are running wild", then the practitioner's mind will inevitably be distracted and not focused on practicing, and his spirit will be scattered and it will be difficult to return to the origin.

Of course, even the preparatory posture is not so easy to practice, so don't expect to master it in one go. It requires slow practice and hard work. The preparatory posture is also a process, which is very important and forms the basis for future training. It is worth our sweat and effort.

The preparation work when practicing Qigong health-preserving exercises is mainly about posture. You must be prepared before starting any exercise. Qigong is different from other martial arts. If you don't pay attention to the method, you will practice it incorrectly, and eventually form the wrong exercises, which will stimulate the patient's body and will be very harmful. Patients should be more careful to follow the steps when exercising. If there is any abnormality, they must stop and figure it out, and then exercise in the correct way.
