What are the precautions for long-distance hiking?

Many people will inevitably have to walk long distances in their lives. If you walk long distances, you have to travel a long distance, which will easily cause inconvenience to people. If the shoes you wear are not suitable, or you need to walk when traveling, there are many things to pay attention to when hiking long distances. Don't make it difficult for people to continue walking. At this time, you must choose suitable shoes to match your walking. So what are the things to pay attention to when hiking long distances?

1. It is best to travel in groups of at least three people, so that you can help and take care of each other along the way. But it is best not to have too many people, otherwise they will interfere with each other and make movement inconvenient. Take less and lighter luggage, but be sure to bring some common medicines.

2. Before setting off, you should understand the various conditions of the areas you need to pass through, your own physical condition (for example, people with lower limb vascular disease, skin ulcers and flat feet are not suitable for hiking) and the climate conditions at that time.

3. When hiking in summer, avoid the hottest time from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and wear a straw hat and keep a water bottle full of water to avoid heatstroke.

4. You need to master the walking speed. Generally, it should be slightly slower at the two ends and slightly faster in the middle. You should walk slowly at the beginning and then speed up after a few days. You should take a long break during the day, usually at noon. Resting places should avoid direct sunlight and low-lying, humid places.

5. Ensure adequate sleep time and nutritional supplements. Do not eat only dry food for a long time. Try to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables.

6. When hiking, it is ideal to wear hiking shoes, because this type of shoes has a certain degree of elasticity, and is light, breathable, and non-slip. It can provide a moderate cushioning effect on the brain and reduce foot swelling caused by long-distance walking. You can also wear half-new and half-old rubber shoes.

7. If you are going on a long-distance hiking tour, it is best to do several adaptive training sessions before departure, gradually increasing the amount of exercise to enhance endurance. When walking, land on the soles of your feet, use moderate force, and maintain your body balance.

8. Wash your feet with warm water after walking every day to relieve fatigue. When there are blisters on the soles of your feet, you can use a needle (wipe it with an alcohol cotton ball or burn it over fire first) to pierce the hole to drain the water, and then apply mercurochrome to prevent infection.

9. When hiking up a mountain, the body should lean forward slightly; when climbing a steep slope, a zigzag route should be taken; when going down the mountain, the body should lean back slightly and relax the lower limb muscles to avoid back and leg pain.

10. When hiking, you should determine your daily itinerary based on your physical condition, generally walking 4 to 5 kilometers per hour. After each walk, you can choose to rest for 15 minutes in the shade of trees, pavilions, etc. to restore your strength.

11. There is fun in taking a long detour. Don't always take the same route. Take a detour and take a look at the surrounding environment, as it changes depending on the climate and season. Sometimes it's good to stop and observe carefully, you may make new discoveries.

12. Personal clothing for hiking In addition to the basic items mentioned above, it is very important to have a pair of shoes that you think are comfortable and convenient for long-distance travel. The soles should not be too thin and you should avoid wearing new leather shoes.

When traveling long distances, you should pay attention to these matters, especially your shoes. You should not wear shoes with high heels. Walking in such shoes will make people feel very unbearable after a short time. Some people will also have their feet rubbed because of wearing high heels. However, if you wear flat shoes that are relatively loose and comfortable, you can prevent this phenomenon.
