What is the care for movement disorders? I believe that everyone does not know much about the care for movement disorders. Attention must be paid to the care of movement disorders, because proper care may affect the treatment of movement disorders. The care of movement disorders also determines whether patients with movement disorders can be cured as soon as possible. Therefore, after suffering from movement disorders, you must be more careful and pay attention to all aspects. Below, let’s take a look at what we should pay attention to and how to provide care. (1) Maintain good air circulation in the ward and keep the patient warm. Encourage the patient to cough more and assist the patient to turn over and pat his/her back to promptly aspirate secretions in the trachea that are difficult to cough out. Eating should be slow to prevent choking into the trachea, and nasogastric feeding should be used when swallowing is difficult. (2) Provide patients with life support, including washing, defecation, eating, and sitting in a wheelchair to meet their basic life needs; after their condition stabilizes, encourage them to use their healthy limbs to pick up objects, wash, and move their bodies. (3) For bedridden patients, the mattress should be kept clean and dry, and the patient should be assisted to turn over every 2 hours. The affected limb should be placed in a functional position, and protruding parts that are easily compressed should be protected with air cushions. Paraplegic patients should lie on a wooden bed with a movable opening (for placing a toilet) to prevent the skin of the lumbar region from being rubbed by the toilet. (4) After the acute phase (about 1 week after onset), muscle tone begins to increase and flexion spasm occurs in the affected limb. Passive exercise and massage should be performed on the affected limb as soon as possible, which can promote the recovery of the autonomic nerves, improve facial blood circulation and nutritional status. Passive exercise can also provide feedback stimulation to the patient's brain. After the occurrence of autonomous movement, the patient is encouraged to use autonomous movement as the main method, supplemented by passive movement, and use the healthy limb to drive the affected limb to practice sitting up, turning over and exercising the affected limb in bed. The above is how much you know about the care of movement disorders? The editor would like to remind everyone not to rush to seek medical treatment when you are sick. In recent years, medical fraud activities have been rampant. For the sake of your health, you must go to a regular hospital for diagnosis and treatment, do not chat with strangers, and be vigilant. So as to avoid unnecessary losses and delay the best time for treatment. |
