What is reverse skating?

As people's living standards continue to improve, they pay more and more attention to the quality of life. When they are not very busy at work, they learn to enjoy life more. Backward skating is a kind of skating, but it is a little more complicated than ordinary skating and requires people to practice repeatedly. Next, let us learn about backward skating, which can also give some opinions and suggestions to those who like skating.

Backward skating needs to be learned in several steps. If you have no experience of backward skating, you should start by stepping backwards.

1. Step backward. Put your toes together, separate your heels into an inward-facing "X" shape, bend your knees slightly, and keep your upper body upright. Lift your feet and walk backward, keeping your toes pointed inward. This movement should be performed so that you can walk easily, keep your upper body upright, and be able to slide slightly.

2. After the gourd. Stand firmly with your toes together in an inward-facing "X" shape, your upper body straight, your arms open naturally, and your knees slightly bent inward and together. Use your thighs to open outwards, slide your legs backwards to shoulder width, then turn your knees outwards and continue using your thighs to bring your feet back. At this time, the heels are together, toes are pointed outward, and the feet are in an outward-facing shape. The center of gravity of the whole movement is in the middle of the two feet. Both legs work together without leaving the ground. Then repeat the above steps. The back gourd should be practiced until it can slide at a certain speed, without pausing when the feet change directions.

3. After the curve. This movement is an exercise for moving the center of gravity and also an exercise for acceleration. Still prepare with your toes together and your feet turned inward. Move your center of gravity to one foot and use the other foot to push your weighted leg out. It feels a bit like a backward gourd, but the center of gravity is on one leg. After pushing the leg with center of gravity, the pushing leg should either leave the ground and be retracted, then the center of gravity should be transferred to the original pushing leg, and the other leg should be used to continue pushing, and then retracted. The two legs should be pushed alternately, and the center of gravity should be moved left and right. This movement needs to be practiced until the upper body remains upright, the center of gravity can move smoothly left and right, and the sliding is fast.

4. Push off the ice from the back. Similar to the back curve, but after pushing out, the back foot is lifted and retracted.

5. Step back. The most difficult move in the basic backslide. This action is used to accelerate when turning. When turning left, put your left foot behind and your right foot in front. When turning right, put your right foot behind and your left foot in front. Take turning right as an example. The body is facing the center of the circle, the right hand is in front of the body, the left hand is behind (in the direction of sliding), and the right foot is the center of gravity. The left foot pushes the right foot to slide. The left foot slides from the front of the right foot to the right side of the right foot. At this time, the center of gravity is transferred to the left foot. The right foot is taken out from the left side of the left foot and put back next to the left foot. The left foot continues to repeat the previous action.

Although backward skating in pairs is more complicated than we imagined, if you really want to learn it, you must stick to it. Once you have learned it, you will be able to appreciate the fun that skating brings you. Of course, when practicing backward skating in pairs, you must pay attention to your own safety and master some essentials. Don't be too eager for success, which will only make things worse.
