After exercising and sweating profusely, taking a cold shower will make your body feel particularly comfortable. But this is also the time when the heart is most vulnerable. After exercise, the capillaries on the body's surface are in a state of expansion. If they are suddenly exposed to the stimulation of cold water, the blood vessels throughout the body will contract rapidly, blood pressure will rise, increasing the burden on the heart and lungs, causing uncomfortable feelings such as palpitations, shortness of breath, and dizziness. People with a poor heart can easily develop heart disease. Therefore, do not take a cold shower immediately after sweating during exercise, especially for the elderly, and do not easily try exercise methods such as winter swimming.

Sauna after excessive fatigue

Taking a sauna when the body feels extremely tired is a favorite leisure activity for many middle-aged and elderly men. In fact, the excessively high temperature in the sauna room will cause the human body's subcutaneous blood vessels to expand rapidly, the skin blood flow will increase 3-5 times than usual, the blood flow returning to the heart will also increase significantly, and the burden on the heart will increase.

It is very dangerous for people to drink a lot of alcohol when they are tired and then go to the sauna. It is best for the elderly and people with heart disease and high blood pressure not to take a sauna. If any adverse reactions such as nausea or palpitations occur, stop immediately.

Smoking in the chess room

Smoke contains thousands of toxic substances such as nicotine and carbon monoxide, which are risk factors for vasospasm, myocardial ischemia, severe arrhythmia, and sudden death. Experts stress that people who play cards often smoke cigarettes, and most chess and card rooms are cramped and poorly ventilated. Especially for middle-aged and elderly people who are old, have high blood pressure and weak bodies, if they stay in such places for too long, they may become sick or even die suddenly.

A big meal after overtime

After working overtime, I invite friends and colleagues to go out for a big meal and reward myself. It feels great. If you do this frequently, it will cause great harm to your body. Our normal dinner time is between 6:00 and 7:30 in the evening. Eating dinner late will put a great burden on the digestive system. In addition, too much fat and carbohydrates in food will produce high calories, resulting in obesity, hyperglycemia, and hyperlipidemia. In severe cases, it can lead to high blood pressure, stroke, coronary heart disease, etc.
