Generally speaking, the greater the intensity of the exercise, the more calories are consumed. The weight-loss effect of anaerobic exercise mainly occurs after exercise. During exercise, anaerobic exercise consumes less fat than aerobic exercise. However, after exercise, anaerobic exercise will continue to consume calories, and its energy consumption is much greater than after aerobic exercise stops. In addition, anaerobic exercise can strengthen muscles and increase muscle tissue. The increase in muscle mass can increase the basal metabolic rate, thereby leading to more calorie consumption to achieve the goal of weight loss.

Doing only aerobic exercise or anaerobic exercise is not very efficient in losing weight. The most effective exercise for losing weight is high-intensity interval training. High-intensity interval training combines aerobic and anaerobic exercise to maximize the benefits of both. However, high-intensity interval training requires certain athletic ability. If you don't think you can do high-intensity interval training, try doing anaerobic exercise first and then aerobic exercise. Do anaerobic exercise for more than ten minutes to consume glycogen, and then do aerobic exercise to enter the fat burning stage earlier and improve weight loss efficiency.
