What to do if you get injured in sports?

There are many sports enthusiasts or athletes who may suffer sports injuries due to excessive exercise in their daily lives. Therefore, they must master the correct sports skills and training methods in their daily lives, and do not increase the amount of exercise without restraint, which will cause muscle strain. So how should athletes solve sports injuries?

1. Abrasions are scratches on the epidermis of the skin. If the abrasion is shallow, just apply mercurochrome; if the abrasion is dirty or bleeding, use saline to clean the wound and then apply mercurochrome.

2. Muscle strain refers to the injury caused by tearing of muscle fibers. It is mainly caused by excessive exercise or insufficient warm-up. The severity of the injury can be determined by the degree of pain. Once pain occurs, stop exercising immediately and apply ice or a cold towel to the painful point for 30 minutes to allow the small blood vessels to contract and reduce local congestion and edema. Avoid rubbing or applying hot compress.

3. Contusion is tissue damage caused by blunt force trauma to a part of the body. Mild injuries do not require special treatment. After 24 hours of cold compress treatment, you can use blood-activating and blood-stasis-removing tincture, and apply local analgesic ointment. Apply cold compress on the first day after the injury and hot compress on the second day. The injury will be absorbed and disappear after about a week. For more serious contusions, apply a mixture of Yunnan Baiyao and white wine to the injured area and bandage it, and change the dressing every other day. 2~3 treatments per day.

4. Sprain is caused by sudden and violent twisting of the joint, which twists the ligaments and tendons attached to the outside of the joint. It often occurs in the ankle, knee, wrist and waist. The treatment methods for sprains in different parts of the body are also different. 1. For acute lumbar sprain, let the patient lie on his back on a thickly padded wooden bed, put a pillow under the waist, and apply cold compress first and then hot compress. 2. When spraining the ankle, knee, or wrist, elevate the sprained part, apply cold compress first, and then apply hot compress after two or three days. If the sprained area is swollen, the skin is bruised and painful, stew half a pound of aged vinegar and apply it to the injured area with a towel, 2 to 3 times a day, each time for 10 minutes.

If you want to avoid injuries during exercise, you must do some warm-up exercises before exercise, and pay attention to hydration when doing strenuous exercise, because people may need to consume water in the body during exercise. If you cannot replenish water in time, you will become dehydrated. You should pay attention to relax after exercise.
