Causes of pain:

1. Gastrointestinal spasm - exercising too early after a meal, eating too much or drinking too much before exercise; exercising on an empty stomach; eating gas-producing or indigestible food before exercise and catching a cold in the abdomen; irritation from roundworms; stool retention, etc. The pain is in the left lower abdomen or around the navel. Symptoms include dull pain and distending pain. Doing rope skipping right after a meal is a relatively intense exercise. If you do it when you are full, it will cause gastrointestinal shock and lead to stomach pain.

2. Congestion of the liver and spleen - Lack of warm-up before exercise or disordered breathing rhythm during strenuous exercise leads to obstruction of venous blood returning to the heart, accumulating in the liver and spleen. The pain is located in the upper abdomen. It manifests as referred pain or distending pain. Due to the lack of exercise in daily life, when you suddenly jump rope, you will experience exercise overload, which will lead to a sharp decrease in blood in the digestive tract, causing gastrointestinal cramps and stomach pain. It is best to do gradual exercise two hours after a meal.

3. Rectus abdominis spasm - strenuous exercise in summer causes water and salt metabolism disorders due to loss of salt through sweating, coupled with fatigue. This type of pain often occurs in the later stages of exercise and the pain is relatively superficial.

Solution:

Slow down your movement, breathe more deeply, and apply pressure to the painful area with your hands. If the pain does not ease or even gets worse, you should stop exercising. When you skip rope, the peristalsis and vibration of the stomach and intestines are very intense. If you don't warm up in advance and you haven't done this exercise for a long time, your stomach and intestines will not be able to adapt in a short time. It is recommended to do warm-up exercises before skipping rope, such as stretching exercises, rotation exercises, and side body exercises. It is best to do high leg raises in place appropriately, but the amplitude and frequency should not be too large!

Jumping rope is a whole-body exercise that requires coordination of muscles throughout the body. It looks simple but is actually a very physically demanding exercise. So before jumping rope, you must do some stretching exercises first, and you can walk and jump a little, with small range of motion, as long as all the cells in the body are mobilized. Also, you cannot eat anything before doing it, especially liquids, and stop immediately when you feel pain.
