Conductive heat dissipation: Heat dissipation caused by direct contact between the body and a cold object, especially when the inner layer of clothing is wet.

Therefore, the outer layer of clothing must be able to prevent rain from seeping in and have high breathability to prevent moisture from accumulating inside the clothing. The inner layer of clothing can actively transfer moisture caused by sweating to the outer layer for discharge.

The outer layer of the three-layer solution for outdoor clothing must be windproof, waterproof, and breathable; special attention should be paid to the waterproof tightness of the hood, pockets, cuffs, and zippers, and the sealing of the seams; the size should be based on the principle of allowing free movement after wearing the thermal insulation layer and sweat-wicking layer. A jacket made of Gore-Tex fabric is the ideal choice.

Thermal layer: Provides insulation by trapping air in the pores of clothing. Multi-layer clothing is more adjustable than a single thick layer and can be added or removed at any time according to weather or activity level. Fleece fabrics such as Polartec are the most popular. They are warmer than wool of the same weight, retain warmth even when wet, and dry quickly without absorbing water.

Sweat-wicking layer: Special weaving or chemical treatment makes the inner layer hydrophobic and the outer layer hydrophilic, which can discharge sweat to the outer layer to keep the skin dry. Common materials such as Polypropylene, Coolmax, Thermastat, etc. all have good perspiration-wicking effects.
