When is the best time to jog?

Regular jogging can improve cardiopulmonary function, make blood circulation smoother, make the body healthier, and also help burn fat to achieve the goal of weight loss. That is why many people now insist on jogging. Some people start jogging after getting up in the morning, while others jog before going to bed at night. So, when is the best time to jog?

According to the principle of human body clock regulation, the body's adaptability and physical mobilization are best in the afternoon and near dusk (approximately 4 to 6 o'clock). At this time, most people are calm and stable, physically full, and the flexibility, coordination, accuracy and adaptability of technical activities are at their best. Therefore, running during this time period is also a very good choice.

However, the reality is that these two periods happen to be the times when we are busy working and studying. Although the physical functions are in good condition, except for professional athletes, I am afraid that not many people have the conditions to exercise during these two periods.

A research report published by the Clinical Research Center of the University of Chicago on the 20th said that the human body's biological clock plays a more important role in the body's response to exercise than previously thought. The results could change people's morning exercise habits.

The research center conducted a study on 40 men aged 30 to 40 to study the body's (hormone levels) response to exercise at different times of the day. The results showed that hormones, key substances in human metabolism, responded most strongly to physical exercise in the evening and at night.

"During the night or evening, there is a dramatic rise in levels of cortisol, which is associated with fat metabolism, and thyroid-stimulating hormone, which is associated with muscle repair," said the University of Chicago researchers.

It is not difficult to see from the above that if you want to exercise, lose weight and keep fit through jogging, the best time should be at night. At this time, the body's metabolism is more active and the effect of jogging will be better. But be careful not to jog before going to bed, so as not to affect your sleep; do not jog after dinner, so as not to cause gastrointestinal indigestion. It is best to do it one hour after a meal and one hour before going to bed.
