Hatha Yoga Poses

Hatha Yoga Poses

Yoga is a way of exercising. In urban life, men prefer to go to the gym, while women like to practice yoga. The former is often more masculine, while the latter reveals the gentleness of a woman. There are many types of yoga. Everyone has a certain understanding of ordinary yoga, but I believe many friends have never heard of Hatha Yoga. So the question is, what exactly is Hatha Yoga?

Hatha Yoga is also known as traditional yoga. In the word Hatha, "ha" means sun and "ta" means moon. It represents the balance of male and female, day and night, yin and yang, hot and cold, and any other opposites that complement each other.

When this concept is applied, it means bringing the two poles of the body into a state of balance by developing equal flexibility and strength in them. It also represents keeping the left and right brains in a balanced state, so that the logical, arithmetic left brain and the creative, intuitive right brain can coexist harmoniously and function in a balanced manner.

In yoga, breathing through the right nostril is called solar breathing, while breathing through the left nostril is called lunar breathing. Keeping the breath flowing in some way is essential to all hatha yoga practices.

The Hatha Yoga system starts with asanas, which is different from the traditional "eight limbs yoga", so it is also called "six limbs yoga". Hatha Yoga mainly practices how to control the body and breathing. Its deeper effect is to make the body's functions function in an orderly manner, so that the mind can gain tranquility and become peaceful. Hatha Yoga in China mainly focuses on posture and breathing exercises, supplemented by meditation and contraction techniques. This system is taught in most yoga studios and gyms.

Target Group

Traditional Hatha Yoga is an ancient system of yoga. When practicing, you should control your breathing, practice slowly with deep breathing, and emphasize complete relaxation. This is a non-competitive practice that emphasizes the feeling of each pose rather than perfection. The whole person is completely focused, body and mind work harmoniously, bringing a sense of physical and mental well-being. The real power of this system is that it is a pathway to everlasting happiness and inner freedom.

Hatha Yoga is most suitable for beginners. It achieves the purpose of training through body postures, breathing and relaxation techniques. It is beneficial to the nervous system, various glands and internal organs, and its purpose is to promote rhythmic breathing and develop physical potential.

Hatha Yoga movements emphasize comfort and breathing control, and are also suitable for beginners.
