What are the yoga postures?

Yoga asanas are somewhat difficult for learners, especially beginners, who may find it difficult to master and may suffer injuries due to some movements. However, asana practice is very important for yoga proficiency. Today, the editor mainly wants to introduce the specific practice methods of asanas. If you are interested in this, let’s take a look together.

1. Balancing pose - Tree pose. Stand in Mountain Pose with your feet together, lift your right foot and place it on the inner base of your left thigh. Open your knees outwards, put your hands together in front of your chest, inhale and stretch your arms upward with the inner sides of your arms close to your ears. Hold for 5 breaths, then put your hands down and switch directions. Tree pose can strengthen the lower limbs, slim the thighs, open tight hips and cultivate concentration.

2. Downward Dog Pose. Downward Dog Pose is similar to a half-inverted pose. If you can't do a handstand yet, you can use Downward Dog Pose instead. Spread your palms apart and press downward, keeping your index fingers facing forward and the inside of your palms completely pressed into the ground. Inhale to lift your knees and push your shoulders back. If your shoulders are very stiff, you can first raise your heels, bend your knees, allow your spine to fully lengthen, and then try to slowly straighten your knees. Sit your hips back toward your heels and lean forward to rest in Child's Pose.

3. Locust style. Lie prone on the ground, place your hands behind your body and cross your fingers, inhale and pull your hands back, exhale and lift your legs, keep your arms raised as high as possible and your legs straight. Hold for 5 breaths, exhale and let your body relax. The locust pose is a very good exercise for strengthening the back strength. Students with back problems can practice this pose more often. It can strengthen the lower back, restore an upright posture, and improve lumbar diseases.

The editor describes the key points of each action in great detail in the article. I believe that everyone will learn something after reading it. However, the editor still recommends that you follow a professional teacher when practicing, so that your movements can become more standard and more helpful to receive the benefits of yoga.
