Don’t practice yoga right after a meal

1. You should usually wait 3-4 hours after a meal before practicing inversions, strong backbends or twisting poses.

2. You can practice about 2 hours after eating a small meal.

3. Generally, you can practice 15-30 minutes after drinking a small cup of tea (if you feel thirsty during practice, you can drink a small sip of water).

4. If you want to practice the inverted posture, you must wait at least 30 minutes after drinking water before practicing to avoid stomach discomfort.

5. About 30 minutes after a light meal or drink, you can gently and moderately practice postures that do not involve abdominal backbends or twists.

6. If there is no discomfort, simple neck, shoulder and arm stretching postures can be practiced immediately after a meal.
