What are outdoor extreme sports?

Nowadays, people are busy with work and life, so they will think of releasing and relaxing their mood through some outdoor sports. Some outdoor extreme sports have become the choice of most young people. Such as mountain climbing, bungee jumping, etc. These extreme sports can not only exercise our bodies, but also strengthen people's psychological endurance. So what are the extreme outdoor sports? Let’s take a closer look at it.

1. Freehand rock climbing

Rock climbing originated in Europe in the 18th century and became an independent sport in 1970. Free climbing refers to the process of climbing without relying on any external auxiliary force, relying only on the climber's own strength to complete the climbing process.

2. Bungee jumping

Bungee jumping originated in the Vanuatu Islands in the Pacific Ocean and is a rite of passage for local youth. There is a small island called Pentecourt in the Vanuatu Islands, where residents hold a "death jump" event every April and May. The young men tied a vine on their feet and then jumped from a "diving platform" more than 30 meters high to prove that they have become adults who can face danger alone.

3. Skydiving

Low altitude skydiving is a gliding event in extreme sports, and its danger is higher than high altitude skydiving. Low-altitude skydiving usually takes off from fixed objects such as tall buildings, cliffs, towers, bridges, etc. Due to the limited distance, there is only 5 seconds to open the parachute pack, making it difficult to adjust posture and movements in the air.

4. Air Surfing

Sky surfing is an extreme sport. After the athletes jump out of the plane, they break through the thermal resistance in the air at a speed of 160 kilometers per hour and glide forward, just like surfing in the water. Skysurfing can only last for a short time, usually only 40 seconds after jumping out of the plane. The descent before the parachute opens is called free fall, and the speed can reach up to 296 kilometers. After one minute of free fall, the parachute is opened and the falling speed can be reduced to 18 kilometers per hour. The skydiver can now control his own descent speed and direction.

The above is a detailed introduction to several common outdoor extreme sports. For those who usually want to release their mood and improve their physical fitness through outdoor exercise, they might as well choose an outdoor extreme sport that suits them to challenge themselves, while also increasing their physical fitness and psychological endurance.
