Ba Duan Jin is an ancient Chinese health-preserving Qigong, which is favored by modern people because of its simple movements and remarkable effects. Many people are practicing it now. In our hospital, people practice it under our light shed every day, which plays a very good role. For example, the aging of our body is inevitable. After aging, we see many old ladies and old men whose spines gradually become curved. And by practicing Ba Duan Jin, it is very good for the spine, this is a feature.

Ba Duan Jin regulates and contracts the joints of the limbs, especially the extremities. The joints of the limbs and the extremities in our human body are very rich in nerves. Through this kind of exercise, we can regulate the entire nerve system in our body and regulate physical strength. It is very beneficial for health care, physical fitness and longevity.

When practicing Ba Duan Jin, you perform a movement that is equivalent to the guiding movement, which combines exhalation and inhalation, and also combines a person's psychological state and mind. When practicing Ba Duan Jin, the movements are very graceful, which improves the body shape, and it also practices Qi, which makes the Qi and blood flow smoothly. It also combines the mind and spirit together, and lets the eyes follow the movements. In this way, movement, Qi and spirit are combined. This is very, very beneficial.

Many of us ordinary people practice Yi Jin Jing, Wu Qin Xi, and Ba Duan Jin, which are called the "Three Wonders of Wulin". The "Three Wonders of Wulin" have something in common, which I mentioned just now. These three are all practiced in this way and combined with Qigong. The common points are, first, they are good for the spine; second, they are good for the joints of the limbs; and third, they train the body, the spirit, and the heart, so that the mind becomes focused, and the Qi is guided. Combined with the characteristics of my own practice, Ba Duan Jin is simpler and more practical. It can regulate the body's tendons, qi and blood, and is very beneficial to the function of the internal organs throughout the body.

Many modern people's urban lives are characterized by lack of exercise and labor. For example, sitting in an office or next to a computer may cause some problems, including dizziness, sore neck, back and leg pain, and clumsy and numb hands and feet. As mentioned earlier, by doing Ba Duan Jin, the spine can be bent, flexed, extended, and rotated, and the joints of the entire limbs can be moved to relax the muscles.
