What are the different plank movements?

I believe everyone knows what the plank exercise is. The effect of the plank exercise is very powerful. The plank exercise can not only help you lose weight and shape your body, but also exercise your will and improve your self-confidence. Therefore, the plank exercise is very popular among people. You may think that practicing the plank exercise is a very easy thing, but when you really practice it, you will find that it is not so easy to stick to the plank exercise. Below we introduce you to some simple plank movements.

Plank is actually a weight loss exercise that trains balance and abdominal core muscles. In yoga, planks are often performed as part of a sun salutation or as a linking pose in a flow yoga routine. At the same time, plank is also a classic movement in Pilates. Of course, you can also practice the plank pose as a stand-alone exercise. There are two main types of planks: full plank, which requires the body to be supported by the arms, and side plank.

Here I will teach you how to practice the plank exercise.

Prone Plank

Step 1: Prepare a yoga mat. Start in a push-up position. The push-up position as a starting position is the easiest starting position for practicing plank.

Step 2 Bend your forearms downward and keep them close to the ground. Your elbows and fingers should be flat on the ground. Your palms should be closed and placed directly below your shoulders.

Step 3: Bend your toes slightly and tighten your abdomen so that your abdomen and navel feel stretched toward your spine.

Step 4 Straighten your body, but keep your neck and spine relaxed. Imagine that you become a piece of wood, and then you will be as straight as an arrow.

Tighten your abdomen and buttocks. These are the two main muscle groups worked in this move.

Step 5 Maintain the plank position until you feel you can no longer support yourself (or until you feel your body sweating slightly).

Keep your eyes on the ground in front of you and be careful not to lift your back. Your body should always be in a straight line from head to toe.

In the above article we introduced a common exercise, which is the plank movement. We know that there are many benefits to persisting in doing plank exercises, so it is necessary for everyone to learn some plank exercises. The above article introduces several simple plank movements in detail. I believe everyone has learned them.
