What are the breathing techniques for swimming?

Swimming is a very good form of exercise for us, especially in summer when the temperature is very high. Swimming can greatly cool us down and also has a good effect of exercising the body. Swimming pools are quite common nowadays, so we need to learn some basic swimming skills.

The benefits of swimming are obvious. People who swim regularly have greater lung capacity, relatively stronger bodies, and stronger immunity to foreign pathogens than ordinary people. So for those who can't swim, or those who can only light candles in the swimming pool, will they feel envious, jealous, and hate others when they see them swimming like fish in water?

Before we formally start learning to swim, we can do immersion exercises first - in shallow water, bend down and immerse your head in the water, and count silently to see how long you can last. After practicing this repeatedly for a period of time, you will no longer be afraid of your head being immersed in water, and the time you can hold your breath will gradually increase.

There are two types of drifting: prone drifting and prone drifting. The first thing you need to learn is prone drifting - drifting with your face downwards and your back facing the sky. The primary purpose of learning to float is to understand the nature of water. The human body can float in water, but beginners lack experience in this. Therefore, once their feet are off the ground and their heads are in the water, they immediately start to panic - this is exactly the biggest taboo for people who fall into the water!

Another benefit of learning to drift is to practice balance. You can observe in the water that those who swim well have their bodies basically flat, like a horizontally gliding torpedo. As for those who swim slowly, their bodies are almost always tilted, with their toes almost touching the bottom of the pool. One of the main reasons for this phenomenon is that they always try to raise their heads. The human head is very heavy. Once the head is out of water, the weight of the body becomes even greater. And when the head is tilted back, the body naturally sinks.
