Which parts of an athlete are prone to sports injuries?

I wonder if you have ever thought about this? When you see athletes shedding their tears on their own field. I feel very excited. But have you ever thought about it? In fact, all sports are likely to cause certain sports injuries. But these injuries vary in size. So today I will introduce what sports injuries each athlete may suffer.

(1) Gymnasts

It is easy to injure the waist (lumbar myofasciitis, vertebral spinous process periostitis and lamina fracture), shoulder (rotator cuff injury and long head of biceps tendon tenosynovitis), knee (extensor knee aponeurosis, patellar chondrosis and meniscus) and wrist (extensor and flexor tendon tenosynovitis).

(2) Javelin throwers are prone to shoulder (rotator cuff) injuries, elbow (medial collateral ligament injury and osteoarthritis) and low back (myelodiscal fibrosus). Discus throwers are prone to knee injuries (patellar chondrosis).

(3) Basketball players are prone to knee injuries (patellar chondrosis, meniscus and collateral ligament injuries).

(4) Hurdlers are prone to injuring the muscles in the back of their thighs. The same is true for other items, especially chronic injuries.

Why is there such a rule?

(1) Special technical requirements of sports events.

(2) Physiological and anatomical weaknesses in certain parts. If the above two factors work at the same time due to some subjective reasons, such as excessive training, sports-specific injuries are likely to occur. For example, basketball players are most susceptible to knee injuries. In terms of basic basketball techniques, the main features are sliding with the knees in a half-squat position, attacking, defending, braking, jumping and layups. These movements all require the knee to be flexed, extended and twisted in a semi-flexed position (30 degrees), and this angle of the knee is precisely its physiological weakness.

After reading the above article. I believe everyone already has a certain understanding of the sports injuries that each athlete may suffer. After knowing these things, we can take certain measures to protect the athletes. So that they will no longer hurt themselves because of the sports they love.
