Is aerobics an aerobic exercise?

Aerobics is a form of exercise that is very popular among the public nowadays. It is simple and easy to use, suitable for most people. The movements are not too fast and not too hurried, and they match the speed of the body. You only need to listen to dynamic music and dance to the rhythm to move your whole body, reducing the pressure on the cervical spine and the involvement of the body's ligaments. So, is aerobics an aerobic exercise? What are the good effects?

1. Head and neck

1. Make side-to-side or up-and-down movements in a controlled manner, and avoid quick or jerky movements.

2. Weight bearing and extreme lateral flexion can put excessive stress on the cervical spine.

3. Do not pull on your head to stretch your back and neck.

(ii) Shoulders

1. Small movements of raising the arm to the side are examples of repetitive shoulder raises. Rapid swings in extension can put stress on the shoulder joint.

2. Repeating arm movements too many times (generally more than 50 times) in the same direction, especially moving them forward or sideways over the head, can cause impact on the shoulders.

(III) Trunk

1. No backrest: Supporting the upper body weight in this position will put a lot of pressure on the spine and waist.

2. Lift your legs straight: Using a long lever to support your legs will compress your waist and cause back pain. Also avoid moves such as scissor kicks and jitter kicks.

3. Positioning rotation: These movements will cause excessive rotational torque on the waist.

4. When stretching your back in the prone position, do not exceed the height of your elbows touching the ground.

(IV) Knee

1. Deep knee bending and other extreme knee flexion postures will put great pressure on the knee joint.

2. Change from narrow squat to wide squat, change toes from inward split to outward split, and squat with your knees in the direction of your toes.

3. Don’t squat too fast. Don’t lean forward too much or relax your body before standing up again, as this will have a bad effect on your knees and waist.

4. Do not kick your calf and ankle joints more than 32 times in a row.

5. Don't run on one foot. Changing your footwork frequently is the most important way to reduce repetitive impact force.

Aerobics is a good aerobic exercise that can promote metabolism and increase body strength. By doing aerobics, men can exercise their bodies, while women can lose weight, get rid of excess fat and give themselves a slim, slender and beautiful figure.
