Sports competitions have become a topic of increasing concern. Field events are a type of track and field sports. They are a general term for jumping and throwing competitions held within the designated area of a track and field stadium. They are divided into jumping and throwing, and the results and rankings are calculated based on height or distance. So, what events are included in the field events? Today, let me introduce you to the field events and see what events are included. Field events are divided into jumping and throwing. The jumping events include: high jump, long jump, triple jump, pole vault; the throwing events include: shot put, discus, javelin, hammer throw, etc. The results are calculated based on height or distance to determine the ranking. In the various track and field events, if there are too many participants, a qualifying competition can be held first, and those who meet the qualifying standards can participate in the official competition. When the number of official competitors for distance events (throwing and long jump) exceeds 8, each person will first try throwing or jumping 3 times, and then 8 best candidates will be selected. Each of them will try throwing (jumping) 3 more times, and the best result among the 6 times will be used as the competition result and the ranking will be based on this. In the official competition of height event (high jump), the referee will first announce the plan of take-off height and the raising range of the horizontal bar. Athletes can try to jump for 3 times for each height. Athletes can choose the take-off height (not less than the prescribed height) and can request to "exempt from jumping" for any height. If you fail three times in a row during the trial jump, you can no longer continue the competition. The highest score of the trial jump will be the individual's competition score and the ranking will be based on it. For all field events, athletes must complete the trial throw or trial jump within the specified time. Failure to do so will be considered a failure. If the athlete continues to delay without reason, he or she will not be allowed to continue participating in the competition (previous results will remain valid). When measuring distance or height, the minimum unit of measurement for discus, javelin and hammer is 2 cm (e.g. 60.23 m is measured as 60.22 m), while the minimum unit of measurement for other items is 1 cm. The above are the specific events included in the field events. Different events have different competition rules and scoring mechanisms. After mastering the basic rules, I believe you will no longer be confused when watching the competition. Well, after the above basic introduction, I hope you can enjoy watching the track and field events more. Let's watch the track and field events together! |
