How to fight aging and maintain health

How to fight aging and maintain health

Aging is a law that people must go through in their survival. No one wants to fall, but there is no way to avoid aging. When it comes to the rules of life, I believe everyone’s first reaction is to go to bed early and get up early, and develop three meals a day according to personal habits. You must eat healthily and rhythmically. In addition to these, you must also pay attention to exercise and daily regulation of the body.

Life should be regular

Talking about life routines means that the daily arrangements should form a good pattern, such as having a regular daily routine, going to bed early and getting up early, or going to bed late and getting up early according to each person's habits, and it is better not to sleep in. Three meals a day should be eaten at regular times, such as breakfast at 6:30, lunch at 12:00, and dinner at 6:30. The time for living and eating can be adjusted appropriately according to the four seasons of the year, which is what Chinese medicine calls "conforming to the four seasons." A regular life can make the various systems of the human body function more normally, which is beneficial to the digestion and absorption of nutrients and gives people sufficient physical strength to work.

You should go to bed early and get up late in winter. Traditional health care believes that human beings are born between heaven and earth, and their life activities should be consistent with the changes in nature. They need to change their daily life patterns according to the laws of climate change in the four seasons to adapt to nature. This is the idea of "harmony between man and nature".

Eat a healthy diet

As people's living standards improve, material wealth becomes abundant, work and social interactions become more frequent, and some people have more opportunities to dine out, which can easily lead to unreasonable eating habits. If you overeat, eat at irregular times, eat without restraint, and be picky about your food, it will cause overnutrition or nutrient imbalance over time, leading to various diseases caused by unreasonable diet, such as high blood lipids, high blood pressure, diabetes, and obesity. Traditional Chinese medicine says that "eating too much fatty and sweet food can cause big boils on the feet", which means that eating too much fatty and sweet food can cause sores and boils on the feet. Excessive drinking can cause fatty liver and alcoholic cirrhosis. Therefore, if you want to have a balanced diet, the best way is to eat at home, because at home you can provide a balanced nutrition according to your physical condition, a combination of meat and vegetables, and a moderate amount of food. After middle age, people should eat more vegetables, fruits, high-protein (such as milk, eggs, etc.) and low-fat foods. This can prevent cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases or delay the occurrence of some middle-aged and elderly diseases.

Eat the five flavors wisely and maintain your health scientifically---people's tastes vary greatly, including sour, sweet, bitter, spicy and salty. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that for the sake of health, foods of all flavors should be eaten in a balanced manner.

Keep exercising

Life lies in movement, everyone understands this truth. However, not everyone can scientifically grasp how to exercise and how much exercise is appropriate. I think the best exercise is walking, which is easy for most people to do and stick to. The length of the walk can be chosen based on each person's physical condition and other factors. Generally speaking, a distance of 3 to 5 kilometers is appropriate. It can be done in the morning or after dinner.

Walking is an aerobic exercise with many benefits: it helps the digestive system and can serve as an auxiliary treatment for chronic gastritis; it prevents the degeneration of legs and feet; it improves cardiopulmonary function; it lowers blood pressure; it can also make people energetic, improve work efficiency, and improve sleep quality.

Climbing stairs is also a good exercise for young and middle-aged people. People who work or live in high-rise buildings can choose to exercise in a gradually increasing manner, such as climbing 3 floors first, then adding 1-2 floors after a month, and gradually increasing to about 10 floors. Climbing 2-3 times a day can also achieve the purpose of exercise. Of course, it is best for people over 40 years old not to climb stairs, because excessive weight on joints can promote aging.

Nowadays, some people can only spare 1 to 2 hours of exercise per week due to their busy work, which is far from enough. If you want to strengthen your physical fitness and improve your resistance, you should choose sports that are easy to master and easy to stick to.
