How to practice breaststroke?

Summer is a hot and painful season. I want to exercise, but I am afraid that I will be covered in sweat and stink. So, what is the sport that most people want to do in summer? There is no doubt that it is swimming, which is not only good for fitness, but also can cool down. However, many friends who can't swim want to learn it, and breaststroke is very common and is also a relatively simple and easy-to-learn swimming method. Friends who can't swim should not hesitate, come and learn it.

In-depth analysis of breaststroke arm movements

1. Starting position:

Keep your arms tense and naturally stretch them forward, parallel to the water surface, with your body in a straight line.

2. Grab water:

Stretch your arms forward, rotate your shoulders slightly inward, turn your palms slightly downward, hook your wrists slightly, and spread your hands out to face downward.

Square press water.

3. Paddling:

The arms are separated into an angle of 40-45 degrees and the wrists begin to bend. At this time, the arms and hands gradually and actively do bent-arm paddling to the side, downward, and backward. During the stroke, the flexion angle of the forearm and upper arm is constantly changing. Generally, the joints of excellent athletes are bent to an angle close to 90 degrees during the main stage of the stroke. Because this angle can exert the greatest strength, while making good use of the large muscle groups of the chest and back. Generally, athletes with lower levels have a larger angle of the elbow joint when rowing. When the angle between the two arms is about 120 degrees, they should continuously transition to the inward hand-retracting movement. When rowing and retracting, the hand should not be below the shoulder, but should be below the shoulder. In order to make full use of all forward force to increase speed, when entering the stroke area, the athlete should stroke with greater force to obtain the maximum forward speed. Therefore, it is reasonable that the athlete's body position rises higher when paddling. When practicing breaststroke, coordination of movements is very important. In the entire process of retracting your hands, the movements you make should be active, fast and smooth. At the end of retracting your hands, your elbow joint should be lower than your hand and form an acute angle with your upper and lower arms. When learning breaststroke, you must not be too anxious. You must learn slowly. Persistence is the key to success.
