The headstand is commonly known as "holding the big top", it was called "upside down planting" in the Han Dynasty, "retrograde" in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, "throwing down" in the Tang Dynasty, "vertical dragonfly" in the Ming Dynasty, etc. It is also the final posture of Western yoga. Although upright posture is a distinctive feature of humans that distinguishes them from other animals. However, after humans stood upright, the effect of gravity caused three disadvantages: first, the blood circulation changed from horizontal to vertical, which caused insufficient blood supply to the brain and overload of the cardiovascular system. In mild cases, it causes baldness, blurred vision, gray hair, lack of energy, fatigue, and premature aging; in severe cases, it causes brain diseases and heart diseases. Second, the heart and stomach move downward under the influence of gravity. It causes many gastrointestinal and heart diseases, causes fat accumulation in the abdomen and thighs, and produces waistline and abdominal obesity. Third, under the action of gravity, the muscles in the neck, shoulders, back and waist bear more loads, causing excessive tension, resulting in muscle strain, and aggravation of diseases such as cervical vertebrae, lumbar vertebrae and periarthritis of the shoulder. To overcome the imperfections in human evolution, drugs alone are not enough, only physical exercise can be relied upon, and the best way to exercise is to do a human inversion.

Regular and long-term headstand can bring three major benefits to the human body: first, it improves intelligence and reaction ability; second, it delays aging, boosts spirits and boosts morale; third, it prevents and treats various diseases caused by long-term uprightness and fatigue, especially cerebrovascular diseases.

Don't do headstands too frequently. It can easily cause blood to flow back in the head, leading to cerebral hemorrhage. It can also cause a lot of discomfort to the body. After doing it, you will feel dizzy and may even faint. So, never do headstands. If you do it too frequently, you may vomit or feel nauseous. So, you must not have the habit of doing headstands.
