How to exercise your left hand

How to exercise your left hand

Most people's dominant hand is the right hand, and those who are left-handed are generally called left-handed. People who are left-handed generally have a more developed right brain because the right brain is exercised when using the left hand. In our daily life, we can try to use our left hand more, so that we can exercise our left hand. By exercising our left hand, we can exercise our right brain. Next, let’s take a look at how to train our left hand!

1. Write with left hand. Careful viewers may find that in many foreign films, foreigners often use their left hand to write on the blackboard when giving lectures, and some celebrities also sign with their left hand. It seems that we should also practice using our left hand!

Writing with the left hand can be divided into two aspects. On the one hand, we write from left to right with our left hand, trying to use our left hand to replace the function of our right hand. On the other hand, you can use your left hand to write mirror characters from right to left. That is, after writing, put a mirror on the left or turn the paper to the other side and look at it towards the light to see the correct characters. I personally guess that this may be the most effective way to promote communication between the left and right brains, and it may also be the real use of the right brain. When you calm down and write the mirror words easily, you will be surprised why such an interesting phenomenon occurs.

2. Brush your teeth with your left hand. This is also a great opportunity to exercise your left hand and activate your right brain. When you first start brushing your teeth with your left hand, make sure the movements are gentle. Large movements can easily damage your gums, causing you to lose interest and confidence in practicing brushing your teeth with your left hand. Even when you become proficient in brushing your teeth with your left hand, you will still find a very interesting phenomenon: your right hand always makes forceful movements, or is placed stiffly at a certain angle, making it difficult to brush your teeth with your left hand as easily and naturally as when you use your right hand.

3. Use scissors in your left hand. Since most of us are right-handed, the scissors we usually see are "right-handed scissors", that is, the right side of the scissors is placed on the top to correspond to the adduction function of the thumb. Because we can't find "left-handed scissors" for the time being, when using regular scissors with the left hand, the left hand can only use the left thumb to apply inward and downward force to achieve the purpose of cutting paper and thread.

4. Left-handed mouse. With the improvement of living standards, the penetration rate of computers is getting higher and higher, and we can hardly do without computers when we go to work and get off work. It is recommended that you practice using your left hand to use the mouse. First, observe whether your mouse is symmetrical. Since there are more left-handed people abroad, the mouse products of international brands such as IBM, Microsoft, and Logitech are mostly symmetrical. In the Windows operating system, the mouse option in the control panel can switch the left and right buttons, so that it becomes a left-handed mouse.

There are at least two benefits to exercising your left hand to use a mouse: A. It reduces carpal tunnel syndrome caused by long-term use of the mouse; B. It extends the life of the mouse by at least 50%.

Although the habit of pen spinning is not good, you can still try spinning a pen with your left hand occasionally at home. When eating, try using your left hand to pick up food occasionally. If you want to exercise your left hand to make both hands more flexible, all of the above can help. If you want to develop your right brain, you can also listen to music, draw, think and imagine more often.
