What are the benefits of Tai Chi?

Tai Chi is not unfamiliar to me. It is a very healthy martial arts sport. Tai Chi focuses on the integration of man and gas, which has the function of keeping fit and maintaining health. It is also a traditional martial arts practice in my country. My school and the elderly like to exercise and maintain health through Tai Chi, and improve various functions of the body. So what are the benefits of Tai Chi?

Tai Chi used to be a martial arts discipline and was historically used primarily for attack and defense. Nowadays weapons are becoming more and more advanced. In the past, people only relied on fists, feet and legs. Weapons such as swords, spears and other weapons were developed in modern times. Compared with martial arts, their effects are relatively small, but they are still useful.

For example, martial arts are needed when troops engage in close combat or when public security departments capture and wrestle enemies. Tai Chi belongs to the category of martial arts. "Martial arts" means strength plus skills, both attack and defense. Some people call Tai Chi "Tai Chi martial arts". If it is a martial art without the content of attack and defense, it is like a martial art without life and soul.

Tai Chi is a form of martial arts. Every move of its fists and feet involves both attack and defense. Pay attention to the hands, eyes, body and steps. Yang Style Tai Chi is a multifunctional activity. It is not limited to martial arts. With the development of society, in addition to its offensive and defensive functions, it also has the functions of fitness, health preservation, medical treatment, intelligence, cultivation of sentiment, regulation of life, creation of a healthy psychology, elegant temperament, and noble pursuit, so as to achieve the purpose of self-cultivation and longevity.

Because of its stretched frame and beautiful appearance, it is generally appreciated for its aesthetics. Therefore, its development prospects are immeasurable.

Some people say that Yang Style Tai Chi is Qigong. I think it is not ordinary Qigong. Qigong requires the mind to be focused on Dantian, while Yang Style Tai Chi requires the Qi to sink into Dantian. There is a difference between the two.

In terms of movements, martial arts requires observing the opponent's movements and the back and forth movement, which is different from focusing the mind on the Dantian. Due to the characteristics of Qigong itself, it does not have this content and the spirit cannot be expressed. When practicing Tai Chi, the eyes should be bright and sharp, otherwise the expression cannot be expressed.

Expression is internal and is the most basic content of Tai Chi. It emphasizes the connotation of strength. Therefore, Yang Style Tai Chi emphasizes connotation, not without strength. Some students have improved their physical fitness and felt an increase in strength after practicing Tai Chi. This is the health-preserving aspect of Tai Chi.

Secondly, let’s talk about the effect of persisting in practicing Tai Chi.

1. Tai Chi has health-preserving effects, and is also known as health-preserving science.

Many comrades have eliminated their chronic diseases through Tai Chi exercises.

This is also a means of medical treatment. When I went to Shanghai in the 1960s, doctors there recommended Tai Chi when prescribing medicines for chronic patients. Because the effects of injections and medication are not obvious, but the effect of practicing boxing is very good. Doctors now also use this approach, combining medication and exercise.

We need to know that when practicing Tai Chi, the most important thing is to sink the Qi into the Dantian. Tai Chi is a kind of Qigong. By practicing Tai Chi, you can improve the body's immunity and resistance. It has a good effect on the body. The benefits of Tai Chi are very wide. Practicing Tai Chi can sink the Qi into the Dantian. When the Qi in the Dantian is sufficient, the activity of the body's organs will also be accelerated.
