1. High-top sneakers. The purpose of high-top sneakers is to protect the ankle joints, which is very important for basketball players. This is similar to the protection that many players apply elastic bandages before putting on socks and then put on long sneakers. Generally speaking, high-top shoes are suitable for players who have strong confrontation in the interior. If you are this type of person and find high-top shoes too restrictive, then mid-top sneakers are the best choice to protect your ankles. Mid-top sneakers are mostly worn by defenders and forwards. In addition to providing a certain degree of protection for the feet, they can also better reflect the player's explosiveness and flexibility. Speed ​​guards and small forwards are characterized by fast speed and sudden changes. When choosing the basketball shoes you need, you should pay attention to: the shoe body should be light, the shoe shape should wrap the foot, the outsole should be stable, and the forefoot should be shock-absorbing, and pay attention to comfort.

3. Low-top sneakers: I personally think that basketball players should try to wear short-top sneakers when engaging in simple physical training. It is even recommended that they wear track and field jogging shoes. For simple speed endurance, speed training, jumping exercises, or even weight training, wearing long-top basketball shoes is very inconvenient. This is the difference between high-top and low-top sneakers. As for low-top sneakers, it is possible to use them in official competitions, but they have very poor protection and are a major killer of ankles. Think about the time when we used to play basketball wearing Huili shoes and we would easily sprain our ankles if we were not careful. Therefore, low-top sneakers are recommended to be worn in less intense training matches and in casual occasions.

You can choose the above three types of sneakers according to your own situation. For guards, the basketball shoes they wear must be elastic and of high quality.
