Yoga methods for losing weight on legs

1. Standing forward bend

Stand with your feet hip-width apart, bend your body down, place your chest in front of your thighs, head toward the floor, tighten your thigh muscles, slowly straighten your legs, making sure your knees are not bent, your hips are placed above your feet and in a centered position, and take 5-8 deep breaths.

Benefits: Stretches hamstrings, calves, and buttocks; improves digestion; helps relieve menopausal symptoms; relieves headaches and insomnia.

2. Chair style

Stand with your feet together, toes touching, ankles slightly apart, knees bent, hips back, chest lifted, and arms raised with fingers straight and pointing diagonally upwards, keeping shoulders relaxed and abdomen pulled in. Sit back as far as you can so that your calves and thighs are at 90 degrees, while keeping your back arched and your knees not going beyond your toes. Repeat three or more times.

Efficacy: Relieve shoulder stiffness, correct leg deformities, exercise leg muscles, and beautify leg lines.

3. Eagle

Bend your left knee slightly and try to wrap your right leg from the front to the back of your left leg to touch your ankle. Place your right arm under your left arm as shown and turn it back to the top, with your palms together.

Tighten your thighs, and as your body lowers, pull your abdomen toward your spine, bend your knees slightly, and lean your waist forward slightly. Breathe naturally for 5 times, and then repeat in the other direction.

If you find it difficult to wrap your legs around, you can just wrap your legs over your thighs and keep your toes on the ground for balance. If your shoulders are too tight to wrap your arms around, you can just let the backs of your hands touch.

Effects: Flexibility of finger and wrist joints, exercise of arm muscle lines, expansion of chest, expansion of back muscle groups, etc.
