Is it useful to exercise at night?

When we talk about exercising at night, some friends may laugh at us, thinking that morning is the best time to exercise, so how can we exercise at night! Of course, this statement has its truth. It is true that it is best to exercise in the morning. The air is fresh in the morning, and people can feel refreshed through exercise right after getting up. Of course, it is not that you cannot exercise at night, but you need to master some ways and methods of exercise.

The "Yellow Emperor's Internal Classic" not only advocates less exercise at night, but also advocates getting up early to exercise and "wait for the sun." As the saying goes, work at sunrise and rest at sunset. As the sun rises and falls, the body's yang energy also rises and falls. Some elderly people practice Tai Chi in the morning, often at five or six in the morning, before daybreak, and they start practicing in the cool breeze. The doctor would like to tell you: Exercise should be done at a certain time! Especially in autumn and winter, it does not mean that the earlier you get up, the better for your health.

If the sun hasn't come out yet and you're practicing Tai Chi in the cool breeze, that's not exercising your body; it's asking for trouble. Sure enough, within a few months, some elderly people suffered from joint pain all over their bodies, so painful that they could no longer get up and exercise.

It is best not to exercise at night. You should wait for the sun to rise before exercising in the morning. Also, be careful to avoid strong winds, heavy rain, extreme cold and extreme heat. A day is also divided into four seasons. During the day, there is growth, like in spring and summer, when you can exercise and sweat. But at night, there is need for storage, like in autumn and winter, when you need to nourish yin, sit quietly, and be at peace. When the sun rises in the morning, the harmful gases in the air have reached their highest point. When we do morning exercises, we will inhale a lot of harmful gases. Although it helps the body's muscles, bones and internal organs to a certain extent, it will promote damage to the respiratory system and the deposition of harmful substances in cells.

Exercising at night is actually good for the body, but it should not be too intense. Some physical exercise programs are suitable for doing at night. This kind of exercise at night can help us relieve the fatigue of the day and make us sleepy. If you exercise too vigorously, your brain nerves will become excited, which can easily lead to insomnia.
